He possibly is the father of the Shaw brothers of Witherbee, but this Robert was born in 1812, and claimed this land years before the brothers came to Yuma County.
More likely he's the brother of Ann Elizabeth Shaw Condon

1882 Lamonte, Missouri (near Sedalia) "Robert Shaw of Illinois is on a visit to his brother W.R. Shaw of this vicinity, whom he had not seen for about thirty-five years."
He's buried in Andrew County 1815-1895 # 95492439. "Married Barbara Ellen Mitchell May 31, 1849 in Andrew County, Missouri.
