Rufus W. Marley,  Vernon

There's a Ruffin Marley in Guilford County, North Carolina in the 1870 census, 7, with parents Haywood and Sylvania Marley.

Rufus W. Marley married Cora A. Dunlap Feb 3, 1892 in Colorado

Rufus proved up on a quarter in 10, 2S 45W in 1895, a few miles west of Vernon.

In 1900 Glendale precinct, Rufus born April 1862 in North Carolina and Cora A. Dec 1875 Illinois have Edith E. Nov 1892, Roy R. Jan 1895, Albert E. Mar 1897, and Pheba P. four months, all four kids born in Colorado.

In 1870 Rock County, Wisconsin, James Marley is 33, Mary 33, Anna 8, Judith F. 6, John 54, and James 4.

In 1880 Rock County Wisconsin, Mary M. Marley is 45. born in Ireland.  She has Anna, 19, Thressa 16, John 15, James 14, and Mary 9.

 In 1910 Miami County, Kansas Rufus and Cora have Edith, Roy, Earl, Phoebe,  son Alva 7 and Johnnie 4. all born in Colorado.

They're still in Miami County in 1920, with Earl W. 21, Alvie- daughter- 17, John H. 14, and Gertie 8.

Rufus and Cora are still in Miami County in 1930, and with them is Alva 27 and her husband Leo C. Hamer, 25, a building laborer.

Cora is widowed, and with her Alvira A. Hamer is divorced in 1940 Mesa County, Colorado (where Orchard Mesa Cemetery is located).

Rufus W. 1863-1932 and Cora A. 1875-1950 Marley are buried in Orchard Mesa, Grand Junction.
