Mr. Kohlman was hauling corn from the sheller to the bin. He was walking by the side of the wagon, which was heavily loaded with corn, while driving the team. His foot slipped and he fell to the ground, his head being directly in front of the hind wheel. Before he could get out of danger, the wheel had run over his head, crushing his skull into a mash, causing instantaneous death. Coroner J. M. Knowles of this city was called but as it was self-evident that the death was caused by an unblameable accident, he did not hold an inquest. The widow and two sons, Claude and Glenn, who both reside in the Vernon district, are left to mourn his death.
