In 1870 Allen County, Henry 40, Levina 37, Samuael M. 16, Wm. H. 14, and Curtis F. 12.
Henry Hubler 1829-1895 is buried in Allen County # 68499821, with Loviana (Dickerhoof) Hubler 1833-1895.

1882 Fort Wayne "The spacious residence of Mr. and Mrs. James English, of Hoagland, was a scene of happiness on last Tuesday evening, it being the place and time of celebrating the marriage of their daughter, Nettle, to Mr. Frank C. Hubler. The popularity of the young couple was the cause of bringing about them a concourse of their friends, many from this and neighboring cities, who gathered there to witness the joyous event, and wish them a bon voyage in the matrimonial boat they had embarked. The festivities were kept up until the wee a m hours, when the assembly dispersed, after showering their congratulations on Mr. and Mrs. Hubler, and thanking Mr. and Mrs. English for their hospitality. Which they know well how to tender. Mr. and Mrs. Hubler will immediately commence housekeeping in Hoagland, in which place and vicinity Mr. Hubler is interested in business."

Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Hubler gave a cabinet wash stand.

"Mrs. English, wife of James English, a well known and wealthy farmer, died Saturday at her home at Hoagland. The funeral occurred to day.

August 23, 1902 "James English, a well known and prominent resident of the county, died this morning at 2 o'clock at his late residence, 2535 Lafayette street, aged 79 years, of the infirmities due to old age. Mr. English had lived in this county for forty-nine years and in this city for the last three years. Surviving him are his wife and eight children. The children are Dr. C. H. English, of this city; Rev. J. W. English, of McDonald, Pa.; Mrs. Gresley and Mrs. McIntosh of Hoagland; Mrs. Hubler and Mrs. Barkley, of Colorado, and Mrs. Merriman of this city. The deceased was a member of the Third Presbyterian church of this city. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the residence and at 2:30 o'clock from the Third Presbyterian church, Rev. Dr. McGaw officiating."

1898 Friend items in the Wray Rattler "S. M. Hubler, of Wray, was over last week looking up fat cattle and hogs."

November 1898 Yuma "S. M. Hubler brought his bunch of sheep down from Wray this week. George Weaver will feed them at the B. D. Prentice place this winter."

May 31, 1899 Fort Wayne "S. M. Hubler left Monday for his home in Wray, Col., accompanied by Mrs. Mnne Barkley and family, who expect to reside there."
1899 Laird, Colorado "S. M. Hubler shipped five cars of sheep this week."

June 1899 "S. M. Hubler returned Wednesday from Fort Wayne, Ind. whither he went after disposing of his sheep at Chicago. The sheep made him money. Mr. Hubler was ill, which delayed his return a week."

1899 Wray "Meets every Sunday evening at Presbyterian and Methodist churches alternately, at 6:30. The meeting tomorrow evening will be held at the Methodist church. Topic: The Indwelling Presence Col. 1, 21-29; Gal. 2:20 . Miss Grace Hubler will lead. All are cordially invited to attend."

1899

December 1899 "S. M. Hubler and family will make Fort Morgan their home. The family leaves a large circle of friends here who regret their departure."

In 1900 Morgan County, Colorado, S.M. is farming, born Sept 1853, married 24 years to Mary I. July 1853. She's had one child, still living. Grace January 1884 in Indiana.
I. L. Barkley is a brother-in law born Dec 1861, married 16 years to M.E. May 1864, Clyde E. Feb 1886, John June 1888, and James Aept 1890, all born in Indiana.

(Minnie English and Ira L. Barkley married in Allen County, Indiana on May 5, 1885.
March 1900 Fort Morgan, Colorado "J. Graham recently sold 30 acres of ranch land just east of town to S. M. Hubler, who will erect a residence thereon soon."

June 1900 Vernon items "S. M. Hubler and family were out making a farewell visit before moving west."

1901 " S. M. Hubler of Ft. Morgan was transacting business in Wray this week."

1901 "L. B. Rife moved to the Hubler ranch, 23 miles northwest (PROBABLY MEANT SOUTHWEST) of Laird."

1906 Fort Wayne, Indiana "Mrs. M. S. Merrian is entertaining her sister Mrs. S. M. Hubler and daughter Grace of Riverside Cal and her niece Miss Mabel English of Jittuburg."

1911 "S.M. Hubler of Winchester California is installing a pumping plant on his property."

1913 "Milton Hubler, who had been spending the latter part of the summer in Ohio and Indiana, came in Saturday morning and remained until Sunday at which time he left for his home in Riverside, California. Mr. Hubler stopped off on his trip and spent a short time with the George Akey and Robert Tippin families with whom he visited this time also. Mr. Hubler was a resident of this community before their removal to California about twelve years ago."

Yuma Colorado, August 1913 "S. M. Hubler, who was a resident of Yuma county throughout the 90's, but who now calls Riverside, California, his home, arrived Saturday night for a few days visit with his sister-in-law, Mrs. E. M. Barkley. Mr. Hubler departed Tuesday afternoon for Fort Wayne, Indiana, to visit other relatives."

In 1920 Long Beach, Samuel and Mary are both 65, farming, with Grace E. 32

In 1930 Long Beach, Mary is widowed, with daughter Grace 45.

Mary and Grace are living in Palm Springs in 1940.

Grace E. Ostrom, born Jan 1, 1884 in Indiana to father Hubler and mother English, died May 26, 1984 in Riverside County.
