Alice Killam, Wray
In 1860 Waukesha County, Wisconsin, Elias C. "Kicham" is 33, Susan 31, Charles 6, Herbert 4, Frances 2, and Alice four months.
In 1880 Nodaway, Missouri, Elias C. Killam is 55, Susan 50, Charles J. 26, Herbert W. 24, Frances E. 22, Alice E. 20, Lenora E. 13, and Morris S. 10.
In 1900 Nodaway County, Elias is 75, Susan 70, Alice 40, adn Maurice 30.
Elias Cornelius Killam 1825-1902 is buried in Pickering, Missouri # 38483889,

He married Susan Maria Hitchcock March 1, 1853 in Madison, Madison County, New York.
They had 6 children: Charles John, Herbert Walter, Frances Elizabeth, Alice Eugenia, Lenora Ellen, and Maurice Sydney."
1914 Wray "Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Killam and
daughter, Addie, came down from Otis last
Saturday and visited in the Henry Hitchcock home
in Wray a few days. Mr. Killam is a
cousin of the Hitchcock brothers of this county."
They had been visiting at Otis and were
returning to their home in Missouri."
November 1916 "Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Killam and daughter, Miss Addie, left Friday
evening for Akron where they went for a visit
with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Killam
and daughter are from Pickering, Missouri,
and stopped on their way to Akron for a
two day visit with their friends, Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Lusher, and family of east
of Wray."
September 1918 "Kieth and Loyd Killam
of Hopkins, Mo., second cousins of W. H.
Hitchcock, arrived in Wray yesterday by auto,
and are visiting at the home of Mr. Hitchcock
and other relatives in Wray and vicinity this
week."
In 1910 Mound City, Linn County, Kansas,
Maurice M. Killam is 40, farming, born in Missouri, wife Eliaza A. Miller 34 born in West Virginia. His sister Alices is 50, born in Wisconsin.
July 1911 Pleasanton, Kansas "Dr. Shumway
was called to the bedside of Alice Killam,
Tuesday and found her suffering with an
attack of gallstones."
August 31, 1911 Pleasanton
"At the home of the bride's brother,
M. S. Killam, who resides two miles west
of Pleasanton, on Thursday at high noon,
August 24, Rev. Wood of Mound City united
in the holy bonds of wedlock Miss Alice Killam
and Mr. I. N. Malson of Darlington, Mo.
The wedding was a quiet one, only a few
relatives and intimate friends being
invited. The bride of this happy event was
attired in white and the groom in
conventional black. After ceremony
the guests were led to the dining room
by Mr. and Mrs. Malson where a bounteous
dinner was awaiting the wedding party,
and all partook with hearty cheer.
The bride has resided in this community
but a few months, but by her ladylike
ways and happy disposition numbers all
citizens as her friends. She is an
honorable young lady and Mr. Malson
has wisely chosen a life companion.
Mr. Malson is a retired farmer,
a pleasant appearing gentleman and
all who met him speak in highest
terms of him. Friday the happy
couple, accompanied by Mrs. Schell,
a sister of the bride, left for
Pickering and Hopkins, Mo.,
to visit a few days with
relatives, after which Mr.
and Mrs. Malson will go to
their home in Darlington, Mo.
The friends of Mrs. Malson
extend congratulations and
best wishes. The following r
elatives and friends were
present:

Mrs. Schell and daughter,
and Mrs. 12. Wheeler."
Isaac Newton Malson, born October 9, 1844, farmer, born in Zanesville, Ohio, died in Gentry County,
Missouri on July 7, 1914. He was to be buried in Darlington Cemetery.
Atcheson, Kansas 1914 " WANTED By lady of middle age. a situation as companion and housekeeper to elderly lady. Address Alice Killam, Effingham, Kas."
May 1918 Wray " Alice Killam, who had been down in Kansas the last
few weeks, and who has been quite ill, returned home yesterday."
Alice proved up 240 acres in section 18, 2N 44W in 1919.
Claimant names as witnesses : Daniel A. Hendrie, Carrie Hendrie,
Alfred C. Hitchcock and Charles A. Hitchcock, all of Wray, Colorado.
Her land was joining the Hitchcock claims of 320 acres each for C.A.,
A.B., and J.C. Hitchcock, and Martha Hitchcock (now owning Henry Hitchcock's 1901 timber claim)
of 240 acres in the 1920 atlas. Alice's claim was owned by D. A. Hendrie in 1920.
July 1920 Pleasonton, Kansas "M. S. Killam
packed household goods for his sister, Alice,
preparatory to her moving to Effingham, Kansas,
to be near a sister, Mrs. Fannie Shell.
Bert Ward and helper loaded the household
effects of Alice Killam on their large truck
Tuesday morning and started for Effingham.
She followed on the train after having taken
dinner with Mr. Frank Emily and daughter."
In 1925 Atchison County, Kansas, Alice is widowed, 63, with sister Frances Shell 66 and her husband T.B. Shell 71.
Alice Killam 1860-1927 is buried in Effingham, AStchison County, Kansas # 1001421683.
Arlie Lyle Auman married Adeline Spiker March 25, 1937. - daughter of Stephen Detwieler Spiker and Catherine Marie (Killam) Spiker.
