Frances M. Clark went to sleep on the railroad track last night and was killed when run over by a Frisco engine at 9:45 o'clock half way between here and Minden. It is not believed that Clark either saw or heard the approaching engine. His body was rolled and dragged several yards beneath the engine inflicting deep cuts and gashes about the head. The wheels did not pass over the body. The engineer did not see the man lying on the track until too close to stop. It is believed Clark had been working in the hay fields around Minden, and that he was walking to Pittsburg and becoming tired, lay down on the tracks to sleep. Newton Clark had not been found to notify him of his brother's death. The body is at the E. K. Smith undertaking rooms. Clark was identified by a draft registration card, which was one of his personal effects. All valuables found on his person consisted of 38 cents.
