Kiter White, Wray
Kiter's parents, Henry White married Lydia Bartholomew on November 10, 1844 in McHenry, Illinois.
In 1860 Stark County, Illinois, Henry White is 47, born in Pennsylvania, Lydia 47 also Pennsylvania, Maritn 20, Olive 18, Armilda 14, Frank 6, Keiter 4, Charles 2, and Wiliam newborn, all kids born in Illinois.

In 1870 Stark County, Illinois, "Riter" White is 14, with Henry 62 born in Pennsylvania and Lydia 55 New York. Martin is 28, Frank 16, Kiter 14, and Charles 12.

Kiter is single in 1880 Stark County, Illinois, 23, born in Illinois, working for the Robert and Matilda Bunnel family.

When he married September 20, 1880 in Stark County, he said his parents were Henry and Lydia White, and he married Mary Caley, 15, daughter of William Caley and Lucy Howen.

In 1885 Johnson County, Nebraska, Kiter is 29, Mary A. 18, both born in Illinois.

William and Lucy Caley, both 44, are in Johnson County in 1885, 599, with Clara 16, John 14, William 12, and Lizzie 10 (Lizzie is the one who married Ervin Schrack on July 4, 1891 in Alma, Nebraska.)
William 1842-1926 is buried in Harlan County # 88055387, with Lucy 1833-1900 # 88055284.

Mary Caley married L.T. Harding on Dec. 25, 1891 in Harlan County, Nebraska.
Mary and Leonard T. Harding are in Morgan County, Colorado in 1900, Mary born Dec 1867 in Illinois, Leonard Nov 1867 Iowa.l They have Addie M. August 1885 and Lela V. Dec 1894, both born in Nebraska.

1901 Fort Morgan " Mrs. L. T. Harding and her daughter Lola were in Fort Morgan Saturday."

Yuma Colorado, September 1910 "L. T. Harding, wife and daughter spent Sunday at the Pate home. Mr. Harding is Burlington agent at Haigler, Nebraska."

"Leonard T. Harding wrote on Dec 17th, 1917 informing the pension board that his mother Mary A. Harding died on Saturday, Dec. 15th, 1917 at 9:50pm, her son was living at 1818 Clarkson, Denver, Colorado"

1936 Jefferson County, Colorado "Mrs. Ervin Schrock spent Thursday and Friday visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. T. Harding at Park Hill, Denver."

Kiter is farming in 1910 Harlan County, Nebraska, 49, widowed, born in Illinois, both parents born in Pennsylvania.


In 1916 Kiter proved up two quarters in section 22, 2N 43W - about seven miles north of Wray.
Joseph DeLoy proved up two quarters in 15, 2N 43W in 1916.
His witnesses on August 17, 1914 were Kiter White, Eugene Colby, George Longa, and Emery Rife, all of Wray.

February 1917 "Kiter White, accompanied by an attending physician, left this morning for Denver where he will enter a hospital for the removal of a cancerous growth on his lip. Mr. White resides five miles north of Wray."

January 10, 1918 "Reports come to this office that Kiter White, northeast of town, who wont to Denver the latter part of December for cancer treatment, died there this morning."

Kiter White 1860-1918 is buried in Wray # 81493917.
