December 1911 "Charles Knapp took dinner with the G. W. Sigwing's Xmas day."
January 1912 " Charles Knapp had business in Wray Thursday. Charley says the roads
are bad and we all think so too."
"Charles Knapp was under the weather one day this week he
thinks the batchelorship is a hard proposition and would appreciate a cook."
February 1912 "M. O. Bland and family and Mrs. Baker visited the
Charley Knapp family Sunday.
There was a crowd gathered at the home of Charles Knapp Saturday night and had a
dance while Charley was away from home.
All had a good time while the writer stood on the outside nnd looked in thinking of old times."

October 1913 "Messrs. Charles and Frank Burwell, father and son, arrived in Wray
Saturday morning from their home in Elliot, Iowa, and will be in this locality
indefinitely as they are here for the benefit of the latter's health. While here,
they will be the guests of their old friends, the Chas. Knapp family and the Carson families of north of Wray."
In 1914 Chas. Knapp had uncalled-for mail at the Wray post office. So did "Chas. Napp."
In October 1914 Charles was delinquent on taxes on the improvements only in township 2N 44W, so his house must have been in that part of his claim.
Charles proved up 320 acres in section 6, 2N 43W and section 1, 2N 44W in 1916.
September 1917 "Charley Knapp was a passenger to McCook last Saturday evening."
Charles A. Knapp 1843-1920 is buried in Elliott, Montgomery County, Iowa # 64926294, with Marcht #2 157906764 born August 1845 in Sweden.
In 1920 Montgomery County, Martha is widowed, 74, living with daughter Mary F. and Orange J. Powell, 53 and their four kids.
