One tree said he was the son of Lewis Randolph Bloom 1812-1885 dying in Union County, Oregon, and Charity Jane Snedaker 1828-1912, buried in Union County # 83626331> But Charity is too young to have been his mother - Mary Mitchell 1814-1847 died in Brown County, Ohio, per one tree.

In 1850 Brown County, Ohio, Lewis Bloom is farming, 38, born in New York, Charity 23 Samuel 14, Phebe 12, Lemley 10, Manson 8, James 6, and Mary 1, all born in Ohio.

In 1860 Marion County, Iowa, Lewis is 50, Charity 30, Lemuel 20, Reuben 19, James 17, Mary 13, Ira 8, George 5, and Sara 3.
(George Bloom might be the one proving up a quarter in Phillips County, Colorado in 1892, in township 8 North 47 West.)


In 1872 Sacramento, California, Lemley Denning Bloom registered to vote, age 32, born in Ohio.

Lemley D. Bloom and Lena Zoffle married on October 12, 1874 in Wapello County, Iowa.

They're in Ottumwa, Iowa in 1880, Lemly 39 a railroad conductor, Lena 24, Josie 14 and Anthony 2, both born in Iowa.

Josie, age 6, died January 2, 1882 in Otttumwa, buried there January 10.

In 1885 Gage County, Nebraska, L.D. Bloom is running a restaurant, 46, with Magdalene 29 and Gertrude 1.

Lemley cash-claimed a quarter in section 34, and proved up 160 acres in sections 34 and 35, 2N 43W in 1896.

In 1900 Gilpin County, Colorado, Lemuel is a railroad conductor, born January 1839 in Ohio, married 26 years to Magdalena June 1859 Iowa, with Gertrude June 1883 in Iowa.

Lemley applied for an invalid pension in 1888, and Magdalena filed for a widow's pension on February 5, 1917. Both filings were from Coloarado.
Her pension was payable to Gertrude Riedl.
Gertrude and Mike Riedle married on July 24, 1901 in Central City, Gilpin County, Colorado.

Gertrude is in Gilpin County in 1910, 26 born in Iowa, married eight years to Michael J. Riedl 32 from Germany. Violet is 8, Gerald 6, and Roy 5, all three born in Colorado.
She was also a census enumerator, living in Russell Gulch.

Magdalena is widowed in 1910 Gilpin County, living alone, age 64.

Magdalena 1858-1922 is buried in Wheat Ridge Mount Olivet Cemetery # 117824595, with Lemuel D. # 41893503, "Co. E., 4th Iowa Infantry."

Michael Riedl 1877-1952 and Gertrude 1883-1958 are also buried there.
