In 1850 Butler County, Ohio, William Antrim is farming, 66, with Rachael 60,
Isaac 24 farming,
Thomas 22 a saddler, Martin 14 and Debora A. 13.
William Newton Antrim 1784-1863 is buried in Butler County # 50141446, with Rachael (Briant) Antrim # 50077138.
Martin served in the 83rd Ohio Infantry
Isaac C. Antrim 1825-1884 is buried in Shawnee County, Kansas # 10709716.
He's not likely the M.T. Antrim in 1870 Cincinnati, Ohio, a commission merchant, 35, with Martha 33, Frank L. 9, and Eugene 5, all born in Ohio. They have three servants, so this on doesn't seem likely to be the clerk ten years later.
In 1880, Martin is a store clerk in Omaha, Nebraska, 42, born in Ohio, living and working for Julis B. French 42 and his brother Samuel, 32 and their grocery store.
In 1884 Omaha, Nebraska, Martin L. Antrim is a porter for J. B. French & Co., boarding at the Occidental Hotel.
Martin cash-claimed 160 acres in section 25, 2N 44W and sections 30 and 31, 2N 43W in 1890. This was two miles north of Wray.
February 1889 "Porter & Sons pay cash for bones, delivered at Wray.
Inquire of Mart Antrim."
Martin L. Antrim proved up a quarter in 18, 1N 43W in 1894 - a mile south of Wray.
In January 1899, M. Antrim was Officer of the Guard of the Wray Post # 70, G.A. R.
The 1900 census has "Luther M. Autrim" born May 1837 in Ohio, single, farming, parents born in New Jersey.
April 1900 "Mart Antrim was taken suddenly ill at his home early this week,
and he lay, unable to move, for several days before his condition was known.
His wants are now being attended to by comrades."
May 1900 "Martin Antrim is again able to be around.
He is thinking of establishing telephone communication between Wray and his villa."
September 22, 1900 "Mr. Owings is in poor health, and the climate has not been
beneficial to him, notwithstanding the fact that he mixed it with a little
Weltmorism. Mart Antrim will run the hotel."
February 23, 1901 "Mike Grier has the Antrim place for sale."
"Mart Antrim has bought the six lots cast of the Shumaker property."
March 9, 1901 "Mart Antrim is seriously ill.
He is being attended by Uncle Frank Waller."
He's buried in Wray, dying 1901, # 16984156.

of Thomas Antrim, Benjamin Antrim, Rubie Norris, Sarah Hinsey, Mary Ann D'Camp,
Rachel Muff, Florence Priddy, Mary Priddy, Squire Antrim, Clinton Antrim,
Levie Antrim, Frank Antrim, Hardin Antrim, Ella Kopp, Hattie Kopp, Ida Grigsby
and Pearl Antrim, and other unknown heirs of the estate of Martin Antrim, deceased..."
Rachel (Antrim) Muff was the daughter of John A. 1808-1879 Muff. She married John Muff on April 20, 1865 in Butler County and is buried there 1842-1903. Sarah L. (Antrim) Hinsey 1847-1925 was another daughter of John A. Antrim. So was Mary Ann (Antrim) D'Camp 1839-1907. "Thomas B Antrim was married in 1854 to Maria E Runyon and together they had Mary L in 1856 and twins William and Emma Antrim in 1860. In 1870 Butler County, Emma Antrim is 10, living with Gabriel 33 and Frances 23 Conarroe. "Emma C Antrim married Robert Randall in 1883. One researcher wrote that they divorced and she had her name changed back to Antrim. Together they had Charles H Randall, Mary Etta Randall Vore, Agnes Randall Bogaske, Achsa Randall Huey, and Myrtle Randall Spaulding." Franklin Antrim is in Preble County, Ohio, 10, living with Benjamin Prayne 32 and Caroline 23. After Maria died, in 1876 Thomas married Nancy Hannah Thomas. (Thomas B. Antrim and Nancy H. Sharp married on October 21, 1875 in Butler County.) In 1880 Butler County, Thomas B. is 52, Nancy H. 35, Emma C. 20 and William F. 20. Katie is 3, Florence G. eight months, Eunice G. Sharp is 10 and WIlliam B. Sharp is 5. Together they had Catherine "Katie" Antrim Cornthwaite and Geraldine Florence Antrim." Thomas 1828-1908 is buried in Somerville Cemetery, Butler County # 49068070. January 25, 1929 Hamilton, Ohio "Sevenmile, Jan. 25 Tuesday afternoon the funeral services were held for Mrs. Nancy Antrim, an old and respected resident of Somerville, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. Cornthwaite of Sevenmile, Saturday, January 12. Mrs. Antrim was born November ]S, 1S-1G, at New Madison, Ohio, the daughter of Bctlicul and Sarah Thomas. Mrs. Antrim had many of the experiences of the pioneer days of the Middle West. She was married to Robert Sharp and the young couple journeyed to Illinois in a prairie schooner. They prospered but were forced to return to Ohio on account of the ravages of ague. They located at Somerville. Mr. Sharp passed away at an early ago leaving the young widow and two children, a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Ehren- Indianapolis surviving. Mrs. Antrim was later married to Thomas Antrim and this union resulted in two daughters, Geraldine and Catherine. Mr. Antrim passed away several years ago. Mrs. Catherine Cornthwaite is the surviving daughter from this marriage. Mrs. Antrim was a member of the Somerville Methodist church and was known in the community for her integrity, industry, and highly respected by all who knew her. Mrs. Antrim is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Ehrenschwender, of Indianapolis, aud Mrs. Harry Cornthwaite, of Sevenmile; four grandchildren, Karl and Hi1da Ehrenschwender, Forrest Cornthwaite and Mrs. Harold Bourne, and one-great grandchild, Betty Bourne. The family are grateful to all for their kindness during their bereavement. The interment was in Somerville cemetery. The pallbearers were Karl Ehrenschwender, Milton Sparks, Forrest Cornthwaite, Harold Bourne, Joseph Antrim and Albert Antrim. Rev. Stafford had charge of the services and the floral offerings were numerous." In 1860 Macon County, Illinois, Wm. Antrim is a hotel keeper, 36, B.F. 27 also a hotel keeper, Sophia 22, all three born in Ohio. Maranda 11 was born in Illinois, Florance 9, Squire 7, Mary E. 6 born in Ohio. John Morrell is a shoe maker, 54, born in New Hampshire, and Martha Antrim is 35, born in Ohio. Benjamin 38 and Sophia W. Antrim, 31 are in Preble County, Ohio in 1870, with Maranda 10 born in Illiniois, Carrie 7 and Edward 3 born in Ohio. Benjamin and Sophia are alone in 1900 Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. " The Marshal and Librarian of the Ohio Supreme Court since 1913 is Edward Antrim who was born at West Elkton, Preble County, Ohio, November 5th, 1866. His father Benjamin Antrim (now dead) was a native of Preble County, Ohio, and he was a veteran of the American Civil War. Edward Antrim was educated in the public schools and he was for more than a decade connected with the Common Pleas and Circuit Courts of Butler County, Ohio. During the 61 st and 62d Congresses Mr. Antrim was employed in the House of Representatives at Washington. He was appointed Marshal and Librarian by the Supreme Court of Ohio in 1913. On July 31st, 1895, Mr. Antrim was joined in marriage with Miss Dora Brunner of Hamilton, Ohio, and they are blessed with six children, five daughters and a son. " July 1923 Hamilton, Ohio "Dr. Wright, who was 49 years old at the time of his death, was formerly a member of the faculty at the Ohio State university. He is survived by the widow, who before her marriage was Miss Ada Antrim and who at the present time is serving at the state university, and one daughter, Dorothy. The widow is the daughter of Mrs. Sophia Antrim, Main street, Hamilton, and a sister of Edward Antrim." Squire Antrim is in Shawnee County, Kansas in 1880, 27, with Dessie 26 born in Pennsylvanaia and John M. Graft 12 born in Pennsylvania. Ida Devine Grigsby (born Antrim) was born on month day 1866, at birth place, Illinois, to Isaac Conroe Antrim and Lydia Barnum Antrim (born Stevens). Isaac was born on September 22 1825, in Sommerville, Butler CO. Ohio. Lydia was born on July 28 1833, in Butler County, Ohio. Ida married Orville D. Grigsby. |
