Albert Sampson, 22, born in Missouri to Elijah Sampson and Louisa Flinn, married Georgie Cochran 18 of Brownsville, daughter of James M. Cochran, on March 7, 1894 in Nemaha County, Nebraska.
In 1900 Nemaha County, Nebraska, Albert Sampson has no occupation, born Sept 1872 in Missouri, Georgia January 1875 Nebraska, Ross E. Jan 1874 Missouri, Alta M. May 1897 Nebraska, and Earl M. Sept 1899 Nebraska.
August 1909 "Land filings have been made this week by ....Albert Sampson, of Culbortson

In 1910 Hitchcock County, Nebraska, Albert is 59, born in Missouri, married 16 years to Georgia May 34 born in Nebraska.

His first wife Georgia May Sampson 1877-1910 is buried there # 21493153,

Albert registered for WWI in Yuma County, born Sept 22, 1872, farming, with Louisa Sampson of Hicksville, Missouri as his reference.

In 1930 Dundy County, Nebraska, Albert is 58, C.Pearl 49, with Larecta Long 14 and J. Roberta Sampson 6.

In 1940 Dundy County, Albert 67, Pearl C. 58 have Roberta, 15.

His second wife Pearl (Salisbury) (Long) Sampson 1881-1969 is buried in Wray # 63202197.

ALTA

1915 "Miss Alta Sampson and Ami C. Teel were married in McCook Tuesday and are at home to friends in their homestead north of Laird."


Alta May Sampson Teel 1897-1999 is buried in Benkelman # 69401628.


MINA
Mina was the daughter of Albert & Georgia Sampson. After her mother died when she was about 5, the family moved from Hitchcock Co. NE, to a farm north of Parks in Dundy County. Mina was sister to Ross Elijah, Alta May (Teel), Earl Mason, Bert Thomas, and half-sister to J. Roberta.



June 1918 Laird items "Miss Mina Sampson is visiting her sister, Mrs. Ann Teel in eastern Nebraska."

March 1919 "Mina and Bert Sampson, who had been visiting their sister at Freedom, Neb., have returned."

March 1922 "The L. L. Mitchell family and Miss Mina Sampson were suffering the first of the week from ptomaine poison which they contracted by eating home canned shrimp at their Sunday dinner."

She married 10 Nov 1925 to Joseph Cyrus Graham, son of Oliver and Lillie Graham of Wray, CO. Wray was just across the state line from her home. Mina and Joe lived lived in Wray, and had one known daughter, Barbara.

November 19, 1914 Laird "A deal has been made the past week whereby Albert Samson becomes the proprietor of the Davis pool hall, for which he has exchanged his half section. It can be said of Wilson Davis, the former proprietor, that he has kept a model place of the kind, and he goes soon to occupy his new ranch, will carry best wishes of many Laird people who regret that his health compelled a change."

November 1915 Laird items "Mr. Sampson sold the pool hall last week to a Mr. Bates of this county."

ROSS

1915 Wray " Emery Rife and Ross Sampson have booked a masked ball for Redman hall for Friday evening and invite the public. The promoters promise that the affair will be conducted in a strictly first class manner."

May 1917 Laird items "Ross Sampson came home from Chicago hospital last week."

Ross is buried in Alliance, Nebraska # 69457203 "Married Faith Bailey, 1918

Owned a barber ship in Alliance"

EARL

Earl is buried in Culbertson # 61195287, 1899-1924, dying in Kansas City, Missouri.

July 1919 Wray "Miss Erma Sampson of Stratton, Neb., is visiting her cousin, Miss Alma Sherrett."

BERT

Bert 1907-1945 is buried in Manila, the Phillipines # 7876673.
"He was a 14 year veteran of US Army service and served with the 118th General Hospital, Medical Corps as a Second Lieutenant. He had served during conflicts in Australia, New Guinea and other South Pacific areas prior to the Philippine invasion. He was killed on Leyte Island, Philippine Islands, as a result of injuries sustained in an airplane crash. Prior to his military career, he was raised on a farm north of Parks, Nebraska, where he moved to at the age of 3, after his mother's death. After he graduated from Parks High School, he pursued an education in the medical field and was trained at various hospitals. At the time of his commission in the US Army Medical Corps, he was a resident of Oregon. He was a brother of Ross Elijah Sampson, Alta May Teel, Earl Mason Sampson, Mina Ellen Graham and half-brother to Roberta."

July 9, 1909 "Judge Jennings performed the marriage ceremony of Fred Sampson and Miss Bessie Mitchell last Monday, July 5, at his office in the court house."
She was 19, Fred 25, both of Haigler, Nebraska.

Fred G. Sampson proved up 200 acres in 25, 2N 43W in 1916.
