Walter proved up two quarters in 10 and 15, 1S 46W in 1916, witnesses Wilburn Stevens, Lee Hoefeldt, Jess Funk, and George E. Schofield.
He was not related to the Frank and sister Cynthia Woodward of Waverly.
In 1913 Walter B. Woodard of Happyville was a witness for the claim of Jesse G. Funk i 1S 46W - other witnesses John U. Smith, Davi Murphy, and Richard J. Gilmore.

In 1910 Polk County William S. Woodard is 54, Mack 53, Ada J.23, Jefferson L. 22, William C. 19, Ollie B.18, and Walter B. 15.
Walter B. Woodard born 1895 in Polk County Missouri, a farm laborer in 1910, 1917, and 1920 - but he was too young to make his claim between 1910 and 1917. He married Kathryn in 1926, and they were in Denver - a patrolman in 1930 - and 1940. Walter is buried in Fort Logan # 36124456.
