Theodore and Nellie (Schafer) Nieweg, Yuma

July 31, 1914 "R.M. Gimeson this week sold the John H. Stoner 160 \0acre farm, nine miles northwest of Yuma, to Theo H Nieweg, of Chester, Nebr."

Clara A. Nieweg died Dec 10, 1917, and is buried in Yuma.
April 27, 1917 "Mrs. T.H. Nieweg and children, of nine miles northwest of Yuma, left for Chester, Nebaska on the evening train Monday.

HOWARD

May 20, 1943 Howard Nieweg was one of the three students of West Point school, Washington County graduating from the eighth grade.

October 4, 1951 "Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nieweg of Longmont are the parents of Ronald Eugene Nieweg, joining Linda Kay - two years old. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nieweg and Mr. and Mrs. James Ridgeway of Yuma.

Howard T. (Curly) Nieweg, passed away at Life Care Center of Longmont on May 26, 2015. Curly was born March 30, 1928 in Yuma, CO to Theodore and Nellie Nieweg. He spent his young life farming with his parents at Yuma. On August 4, 1948, he married Lucille Ridgeway of Yuma, and to this union a daughter Linda and a son Ron were born. They later divorced.
On February 18, 1977, he married his "Best Friend" Verna. He retired from Rocky Flats after 22 years. In 1964, he became a life-long member of the Longmont Red Dale Drifter's R/V Club. He had many hobbies which included wood working, fishing, camping and traveling. Curly is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Verna Nieweg of Longmont. He is also survived by two children, Linda Kalisch Rook of Longmont, and Ron Nieweg of Idaho Falls; two step-daughters; Connie Hazard (Randy) of Longmont and Kristi Allen-Cruz (Gabe) of Colorado Springs; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and brother-in-law Elwin Garretson of Laramie, WY. March 20, 1930 "Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Weekworth drove in from Minnesota and visited several days with the latter's uncle, John Utz. They left Saturday for Windsor, Colorado, where they expect to locate for the present."
Sept 11, 1930 "Mr. and Mrs. John Utz, with their guests, a sister of Mr. Utz, with her family from Fairbury, Nebraska, drove to Limon, Colorado last Friday and spent the day at the Wm. Utz home there.
