Alexander George Shuey, Robb
One group sheet says he was the ninth child of Henry Shew(Shuey) and Sidney Ann (Carr) Shuey. Samuel H. was the eldest, born July 4, 1844 in Carroll County, Maryland, dying January 9, 1925.
The group sheet includes a DeKalb County Illinois record of larceny March 18, 1879, discharged Feb 18, 1880.
In 1880 Kane County Illinois William Shuey, 33, and Elizabeth A. 26 have Minnie M. 4. Alexander 22 is a farm laborer - both William and Alexander born in Maryland. Alex isn't with William in the 1860 Carroll County Maryland census.
Alexander proved up a quarter in 15, 1S 45W in 1893, and next to it a Timber quarter in 1899.
In 1900 Alexander, Aug 1858 in Maryland, is farming alone in Glendale precinct.
"J. Stevens gave Shuey $10 to feed his hogs a few times for him."
In 1910 Vernon precinct Alexander has Albert Fix, 16 lodging with him - Alex had been in bad health for a few years, according to a few Wray newspaper items.
Alexander George Shuey died Nov 12, 1912, and is buried in Grandview, Wray.

1914 "Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Shuey of Collins Iowa arrived in Wray in the settlement of the Alex Shuey estate. Mr. Shuey is a brother."

John W. Shuey Rites Are Held Sunday

COLLINS, Jan. 21 - Funeral services for John W. Shuey, 68, were held at the Christian church here Sunday afternoon. The Rev. S. A. Fisher, pastor of the church conducted the services owing to the inability of the Rev. J. O. Jones of Merrill to get to Collins.
A quartet composed of the Misses Mary Holmes and Zola Gilley, J. R. Witmer and C. O. Shearer furnished music.
Pall bearers were: Ralph D. McCord, Clyde McCord, Earl McCord, Tim Shickell and Cecil Poorbaugh
Heirs, in the 1919 settlement, were Heirs of Anna L. Morgan, Laura Shuey, Theodore Shuey, John Shuey, Belle Shuey Hall, Effie Shuey, Harvey Shuey, and Jennie Torrey.
