Charles Theobald, 1 South 43 West

Charles in 1880 is in Clear Creek County, 14, born in Pennsylvania. Peter 50, a miner and Jane 40 were both born in Bavaria. " Peter was the son of Jacob and Maria Knoll Theobald, brother of Adam, Daniel & Carl. He was born 11 April 1830 in Evangelisch, Glan-Muenchweiler, Pfalz, Bayern He married Jane F. Leibing, and does not appear to have any children who lived beyond childhood. He spent his adult life in Colorado, mostly in the Idaho Springs area. He died 24 Sept 1913 in Idaho Springs, CO. "

In 1900 Clear Creek County, Peter Thoebald, born April 1830, is widowed, a landlord. Charles F., nephew, born July 1865 in Pennsylvania, is single, a gold miner.

Charles E. cash-claimed a quarter in 26, 1S 43W in 1891, and Charles F. timber-claimed one in section 6 in 1900 .

1909 "C.T. Theobald of Idaho Springs sent the wherewith for a years renewal to the Gazette the first of the week and remarks, ' that the Gazette is all O.K. needs no telling.'"
Peter, 80, and Charles, 44, are still living together in 1910 Clear Creek County. Charles is a laborer in a mine.
1914 "Chas. Theobald, who was one of the pioneer residents of this part of the county, arrived here last Thursday to renew acquaintances and look after his real estate interests in this locality. He owns a quarter section a few miles south of town."

1917 "Charley Theobald came down from Idaho Springs this afternoon and is attending to business affairs in Wray. He is the guest of his old friends, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Johnson.

Charles is living alone in 1930 on Miner Street in Georgetown, 64, a miner.
One tree said he died April 17, 1931 in Clear Creek County.

Daniel Theobald's wife was killed in a hunting accident age 60, in 1912, at the Theobald ranch yard eleven miles east of Idaho Springs.
