Altoona, Pennsylvania July 1946 "Mrs. Euphema Spinney. 614 West Third street, Williamsburg, died in the Altoona hospital Saturday night at 7:30 o'clock. She fractured a hip in a fall in her living room July 2 and was hospitalized in Altoona hospital until she died. She was born in Quebec, Canada, March 27, 1859, daughter of Andrew and Isabell a (Syme) Whyte. She was married in Scotland to Walter W. Spinney, deceased. He died Nov. 19, 1934. Mrs. Spinney is survived by one sister, Emma Thomson, South Bermuda, Nova Scotia, Canada; one brother, James Whyte, Vancouver, British Columbia; one adopted daughter. Miss Blanche Whyte of Brooklyn, N. Y.; five nephews and one niece. Friends may call at the Friedline funeral home in Williamsburg until the funeral Tuesday afternoon. In 1861 Euphemie was two, in Leeds, Megantic, Quebec. Alexander Whyte, born 1870 in Canada, died Jan 22, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, a chemist, buried in Evergreen's cemetery, a chemist. James Whyte was born Sept 3, 1854 in Fife, Scotland to Andrew Whyte and Isabella Syme. John Whyte was born July 14, 1852 in Fief to Andrew and Isabella. |
