James Hamlin in 1900 Cowley County, Kansas, farming, born Dec 1860 Illnois, married eleven years to Viola Dec 1868 Missouri. They have Franklin J. Jan 1890 Oklahoma, Elmer J. Dec 1892 Kanss, and Mildred Sept 1896 Kansas. On the same page is Ann Hamlin, widowed, born Oct 1839 Illinois with son Ernest July 1879 Kansas.
1904 "Frank Hamlin, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamlin, is sick with pneumonia fever."
James and Viola are buried in Winfield, Kansas.


There was a George T. Hamlin a few miles east in Sherman County, Kansas, but couldn't see a James in his tree.

In 1880 Denver, James Hamliln is 50, born in Canada, a laborer, with Maggie 60, Illinois, Agnes 3 and newborn Mary, both born in COlorado.
In 1885 Denver, James is 38, Maggie 34, Maggie 8, Mary 5, and James 2.

James H. Hamlin, for service in E, 3rd Colorado Cavalry, had his widow Mry Hamlin file for her pension August 9, 1894.
In 1885 El Paso County, James "Hamblin" is 48, Mary 33, Minnie 14, Fred 6, and Bessie 4.

James M. Hamblin, for service in G, 51st Indiana Infantry, applied for an invalid pension August 1882, from Colorado.

ORA WAYNE HARBERT10(J.I.9,Elma8,John7,Ben6,Wm.5,Stephen4,Charles3,Stephen2, Stephen1) was born the 29th of January, 1921, in Woodrow, Colorado, the son of John Issachar Harbert and Anna Bernice Metz. Wayne served on a submarine during World War II. His occupation is farming and ranching. Wayne was married the 22nd of August, 1944, in Atwood, Kansas, to: MARJORIE M. TRIM, who was born the 29th of May, 1922, in Yuma, Yuma County, Colorado, the daughter of Mr. Trim and wife, Nona Sharp. Wayne and Marjorie live near Granby, Colorado. They are the parents of: 10749 i. Randy N. Harbert, b. 6 Jan., 1953, Denver, Colorado 10750 ii. Nona R. Harbert, b. 19 June, 1956, Denver, Colorado The Hamlin book also has a James Hamlin born 1859.
