Henry W. Eaton , 1 South 43 West



In 1860 Jo Daviess County, Illinois, Stephen "Eaten" is 46, Lucina 45, Almira, Shad, and Henry 5.
Stephen Eaton is 50, Lucina 45, Therole 19 is a farm hand, Henry is 15, Francis is 8, Eiphus (later called "Nick"), 11, Wallace 3, and Benjamin ten months.

In 1870 Webster County, Iowa, Stephen Eaton is 60, Henry 25, Francis 18, Syben 15, Wallace 12, and Benj. 10.
(Stephen Eaton 1810-1833 is buried in Webster County # 17125148.)

In 1880 Franklin County, Iowa, Henry is 34, Margaret 29, with Frank W. 8.
Henry W. Eaton filed for an invalid veteran pension July 21, 1890 from Colorado for service in B, 45th Illinois Infantry, and then Margaret, widow, filed fromNebraska August 7, 1916.

Henry proved up a quarter in 28, 1S 43W in 1894.



In 1900 Saunders County, Nebraska, Henry W. Eaton born Nov 1845 in Illinois, married 30 years to Margaret Feb 1850 Ohio, have Frank W. Oct 1871 Ioaw and his wife Olga 24, Nebraska.

Frank W. Eaton 1871-1906 is buried in Cass County, Nebraska.

In 1922, Paul Eaton petitioned to settle a land dispute over that parcel of land - Henry W. Eaton and Margaret Eaton, both deceased.

Henry W. Eaton, 1845-1916 is buried in Cass County, Nebraska # 5613848, with Margaret (Lynch) Eaton 1850-1917.

Frederick J. Eaton cash-claimed a quarter in 34, 2N 44W in 1890 - only three miles northwest of Wray.

Fredr'k J. Eaton and Jennie C. Malm married in Denver on June 25, 1890.
Jennie, arriving from Sweden in November 1881, declared her intent to naturalize on October 10, 1887 in Laramie County, Wyoming.

November 30, 1895 "J. W. Plummer, a man 64 years of age, and F. J. Eaton, both of Yuma, Colo., have been sentenced to a term of three years each in the penitentiary, the former for killing several cattle and the latter for killing one pig. Yuma justice evidently recognizes no difference between a big thief and a little one."

There's a Fred R. Eaton in 1900 Colorado Springs, a sealer for the railroad, born June 1875 in Massachusetts, married three years to Myrtle July 1870 Illinois, with Helen Oct 1898 COlorado.
This is probably not the Yuma County one - if only because his father was a grocer in Auburndale, Massachusetts.


Joseph W. Eaton timber-claimed a quarter in 17, 2S 44W - a few miles west of Henry's.
Neither of these appear to be close relatives of Henry.
