In 1860 Otoe County, Nebraska, George Wright 21 and Elizabeth 17, both born in Scotland, are farming. Mary Crawford, 33, Scotland, and Mary A. Crawford, 6, Georgia, are with them.
(When daughter Stella Crane died in Washington, her death record said her parents were George Wright and Elizabeth Crawford - so Mary Crawford is likely a relative.)
In 1870 Nemaha County, Nebraska, George Wright is 32 farming, born in Scotland, with Elizabeth 29, Stella 9, Louis 7, and Edward 4.
In 1880 Jefferson County, Nebraska, George Wright is 42, an implement dealer, born in Scotland, married but no spouse. Stella 19, Louis 16, Edward 13, and Clide 7 were born in Nebraska.
George Wright 1838-1926 is buried in Otoe County, Nebraska # 78705302 - same cemetery as father James Wright 1807-1893.
Clide C. Wright 1873-1941 is buried in Fairbury, Nebraska.
In 1880 Columbus County, Wisconsin, Lizzie McConnell is a tailoress, 20, with divorced mother Sarah McConnell, 49. Grace, 17, is a clerk in a store, and Edgar 14 is in school.
In 1885 Jefferson County, Nebraska, Sarah, 50, Lizzie, 24 - a dressmaker, and Edgar 19 is a dry goods clerk.
Lizzie B. McConnell married Louis T. Wright June 29, 1893, at Wray Colorado.

1905 Wray "Howard Klugh closed the deal this week whereby he becomes the owner of the Lizzie B. Wright place south of Laird."
Also in 1905, Louis T. Wright was the Laird precinct representative to the Yuma County Republican Central Committee.


In 1900 Jefferson County, Nebraska, Lizzie Wright, born April 1862 in Wisconsin, is a seamstress, widowed, with son James E. Oct 1895 Colorado. Her mother Sarah E. McConnell, also widowed, born April 1835 in Pennsylvania
Louis T. Wright was appointed postmaster of Laird January 25, 1895, holding that post until 1900.

Louis T. and Lizzie B. Wright divorced in Yuma County on July 7, 1899.

Louis Wright is a farm laborer in Yuma County in 1900, divorced, born Nov 1862 in Nebraska. He's on the same census page as the McGinnis families, so he was living south of Laird.

June 8, 1906 "Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Wright are rejoicing in the advent of a girl baby last Thursday. Mother and daughter doing well."
Louis is still there in 1910, and in 1913 was a witness for the land claim of Grace M. Prentice of Laird.
In 1920 and 1930 is in Littleton, Colorado, divorced, a clerk in a drug store.
In 1915 Louis was the pharmacist for the Thompson Drug Company in Littleton.
In 1922 Louis was the pharmacist for the Eson Drug Company (E.D. Eson) in Littleton Colorado.
In 1940 Louis is a patient in a convalescent home in Littleton, age 70.


In 1920 Lizzie is an inmate at the state hospital in Adams County, Nebraska.
January 2, 1926 Steamboat Springs, Colorado
This is a different Louis, born to Lee and Lydia Wright 1896 in Missouri and Lizzie Gillson was the first wife of Jack Wright, in Beatrice in 1920.

1927 "FAIRBURY, Neb.. March 30. - Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie B. Wright, sixty-six years old, who died March 26. will be held at Rich...."
Lizzie B. Wright 1860-1927 is buried in Fairbury # 111414817.
So is Sarah E. McConnell 1828-1907 # 111414868 - with the same style of tombstone as ELizzie's.

James E. Wright of Ronan, Montana, born at Laird Colorado to Louis J. Wright and Elizabeth B. McConnell, married Hazel E. Livingston, age 20, born at Mahaska, Kansas to William Livingston and Bertha Vincent on January 11, 1917.

When James E. Wright registered for WWI in Ronan, Montana, he said he was born October 18, 1895 at Laird, Colorado. He was a grocery clerk for Stanley Searce, and was married.

Hazel then married Harry R. Lovely in Missoula on June 7, 1919.
