In 1860 Seneca County, New York, Joseph Rosenkrans is 47, born in New Jersey, a Presbyterian minister, with Eliza T. 41 born in New York. WIlliam T is 16 Eliza 14, Mary 11, and Joseph 4, all born in New York.
"Rosenkrans, Joseph, a Presbyterian minister, was born at Wallpack, N.J., Nov. 13, 1812. He received his education at Amherst College, Mass., and Union College, Schenectady, N.Y.; studied theology in the Union Theological Seminary, New York city; and was ordained by New York Third Presbytery in 1842 as pastor of the Church in Bethlehem, N.Y. He subsequently preached for the churches of Newport, Martinsburg, Romulus, and Onondaga Valley, N.Y., where he was laboring when he died, June 19, 1863. Mr. Rosenkrans was a man of well-balanced mind; orthodox, faithful to every trust, a fair scholar, and a good preacher. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, p. 321. (J.L.S.)"

In 1880 Onondaga County, Eliza is 61, widowed, with Lizzie 34, Mary 31, and Joseph 24, a grocer.
Eliza Rosenkranz cash-claimed a quarter in 5, 2S 42W in 1892 - with the Arickaree running almost a mile through it.
One Wray, Colorado history book says Joseph came to Colorado in 1883, buying a sheep ranch from the Young family.

1900 "Billy Rosencrans sold three car loads of feeders to Pete Robedeaux of Benkleman this week."
1908 "WANTED - In about two weeks, to hire a man, team and binder to cut about 100 acres of wheat at Rosencran's ranch. I. L. Barker."
1910 "Irving Barker, of the Rosencrans ranch, was in Wray last week."
1910 "'Irvin' Barker, manager of the Rosencrans ranch, was a business visitor to Wray."
1910 "For Sale - Potatoes 50 cents bushels; cane seed 40 cents bushel at Rosencran's ranch."
1910 Fort Collins "Mrs. F.D. Johnson and son, Frank, and daughter Laura, and William and Margaret Rosencrans, all of Wray, are guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. White. They are attending the short course."
In 1910 Onondaga County, New York, Joseph H. is 54, Myra 43, with Margaret 21, William 19, and Robert 11, all three born in Colorado.
Margaret Rosenkrans married C.H. "Galle" November 19, 1913, recorded in Yuma County.
1913 "Fred Johnson and family of Wray visited at the Rosencrans ranch last Sunday."
1917 "FOR SALE - Fine large registered Kentucky Jack for sale - J.H. Rosencrans, Laird, Colo."
Heirs of W.T. Rosencrans proved up 160 acres in sections 5 and 8, 1S 42W in 1892.
In 1920 Joseph and Myra are back in Wray, living alone.
Joseph H. Rosenkrans born Dec 22, 1855 in New York to Joseph Rosenkrans and Eliza Thompson, died Dec 12, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas, to be buried in Mission Memorial Park. Mrs. C.H. Gable was the informant. The stone says "Joseph H. Rosenkrans - Dec 1855-Dec 1-1924 A "Cristian" Gentleman. # 50137976.
Margaret (Rosenkrans) Gable 1889-1971 is buried in Mission Burial Park, too # 61206178.
In 1927 San Antonio, Texas, Myra (Wid J.H.) is living at 108 Barrett.
Myra is widowed in 1940 Wray, 73, living with Fred D. 80 and Margaret C. Johnson 81, both born in New York.
The stone - same style as Joseph's - in Mission Burial Park has "Miriam D. Rosenkrans - Aug 1866 - Feb 1949 a lovely lady " "# 50137977.
Elza Rosencrans cash-claimed 320 acres in 28, 1S 42W in 1890, and another 160 acres in 21 in 1892.
Eliza Rosencrans cash-claimed a quarter in 29 in 1890, next to Irving Barker (Both were from Syracuse, New York)

Violet (Ridlen) Rosenkrans 1883-1980 is buried in Wray # 68948258, with William T Rosenkrans 1890-1979 # 68948279
Funeral services for Violet Rosenkrans were held Thursday, May 29 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wray. She passed away May 27. Rev. Jack Bunkley officiated, and interment was at the Grandview Cemetery.
Violetta Maria Rodlen [Ridlen] was born in Ambia, Indiana, September 27, 1883. After graduating from high school, she attended Rigden Normal School in Davidson, Indiana and taught school in Indiana and later in Concordia, Kansas, Pagosa Springs, and Wray. She also served as county school superintendent.
In 1915 she married William Thomson Rosenkrans at which time she was county superintendent. After her marriage, she moved to the Rosenkrans Ranch. In 1937 the Rosenkrans moved back to Wray and she continued teaching off and on.
Violet Rosenkrans was a charter member of the Wray P.E.O. Chapter AA.
