Morgan cash-claimed a quarter in 8, 1S 42W in 1891. It was an odd-shaped claim, with Horse Creek crossing it.

There's a female Morgan Lewis in Osage County, Kansas in 1900, born May 1868 in Wales, with Mary A. August 1885 Kansas and Maggie June 1888 Kansas. Their father was born in Wales. Morgan has been married sixteen years but no spouse, and had five kids, four living.

In 1880 Rosedale, Morgan is a blacksmith, 40, Ann 37, both born in Wales, with Mary Ann 9, Wales. Son Morgan is 6, Ollie 4, both born in Pennsylvania, and Bessie 1, Kansas.

In 1885 Rosedale Wyandotte County, Kansas, Morgan Lewis is 45 a blacksmith, Anne 43, Mary Ann 14 - all three born in England. Morgan A. 11 and Olive 9 born in Pennsylvania, Susie 4, and Johnny 1 born in Kansas.
Morgan Lewis is in 1900 Florence, Colorado, a blacksmith born March 1840 in Wales, with Ann, born June 1841 in Wales. Morgan, also a blacksmith, born Sept 1873 in Pennsylvania, Susan Dec 1880 Kansas, and John March 1884 Kansas.

Susan Lewis married Samuel J. Heindel Sept 8, 1903, recorded in El Paso County. He was a painter for the D & RG in 1903, living at 25 N. Willow.
In 1908 San Juan County, Colorado, David and Samuel Heindel were developing a lode of ore, lead, copper, "with good gold values" "on South Mineral Creek.
Reuben Heindel of Columbus Junction, Iowa, attended the funeral of his brother, Samuel J. Heinedel in Durango Colorado in June 1928.
Samuel J. Heindell was in Co. I, 28th Illinois Infantry, and was to be buried in Greenmount cemetery, Durango.

Ollie Lewis married George Hornbaker in Miami Kansas in 1889. In 1900 Miami County George is a teacher, born Dec 1868 iN New Jersey, Ollie Aug 1870 Indiana, have been married ten years. Harry L born July 1891, Lena Aug 1894, and Floyd Sept 1896.
June 1909 Olathe Kansas "Mr. Hornbaker was aged forty years, five months and nineteen days. He was for several years a teacher in the public schools of this county and taught for some time in the Louisburg schools. For nearly nine years he had been in the employ of the government as a clerk. While in this work last August, the train on which he was working was wrecked and Mr. Hornbaker was so badly injured that it was thought he could not recover. But after several months of suffering he returned iu work only to sicken and die in a far away city, away from home and family. "
Ollie is widowed in 1910 and in 1920 is married to Frank Whitlock in Kansas City..
In 1930 Ollie Whitlock, 57, is in Los Angeles, living with Lena Skinner 37, her husband L Roy Skinner 41, and their daughter Geralding 1q0.
THIS MIGHT BE A DIFFERENT OLLIE LEWIS, because of the Indiana birthplace.

John Lewis married Andrea Montoya July 21, 1900, recorded in Costilla County.

MORGAN, JR.
In 1908 the Blacksmiths Journal mentions a meeting of a committee in Colorado including Morgan Lewis, Jr. of Alamosa.

In 1910 Costilla County, Colorado, Morgan 29 is married to Emma, 29, Illinois, living with her parents Hardin 65 and Ella 60 Hines.
Morgan Lewis, Jr. registered for WWI in Alamosa, Colorado, a blacksmith for the Denver & Rio Grande, married to Emma E. born Sept 11, 1873. In 1930 Alamosa County, Morgan is a foreman in a railroad shop, 57, "Dean" 50, Illinois, with Harden 19, born in Colorado.
In 1940 Alamosa, Morgan is 66, a railroad laborer, with Emma 60. Hardin, 29 has no occupation.
Next household in 1940 is D.H. Hines, 68 with Clara 57. - David Henderson Hines, a brother of Emma.
Morgan Y. Lewis 1873-1949 is buried in Alamosa # 56920896.
