WILLIAM S. TUTTLE was born 02 Jan 1816 in New York, and died 03 Jan 1882 in Appleton (Outagamie Co) WI. He married (1) LUCY ANN HERRIMAN 27 Dec 1835 in Cuyahoga Co, OH. He married (2) LUCY PARMELIA GRAY Abt. 1838 in Cuyahoga Co, OH. She died 1842 in Euclid (Cuyahoga Co) Ohio. He married (3) HANNAH BROWN Abt. 1842. She was born 01 Jan 1817 in Sussex Co, VT, and died 12 May 1896 in Appleton (Outagamie Co) WI.

Thomas was the son of William Tuttle and Hannah Brown.

August 1902 Fort Morgan " Nellie Tuttle is expected back from the East tomorrow or next day. Miss Tuttle has been spending the greater part of her vacation in Chicago perfecting herself more fully for the resumption of her duties in our public schools as drawing teacher."

November 1911 Yuma "Mrs. Effie Spooner and little daughter and Mrs. Tillie Smith left Monday afternoon on No. 14 for their home in Omaha, Nebr. after spending a week here visiting their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Tuttle."

Harrison McGaray never was in Yuma County, but heirs, minor children Hugh D. McGaray, William H. McGaray, and Joseph R. Mcgaray assigned his rights to a quarter in Section 3,m 1N 48W, to Thomas J. Tuttle in 1892. The rights were a military warrant, for service as a private in Captain Earley's Company, Illinois Volunteers, Black Hawk Wars.

"He married Priscilla Tatroe, having seven children, six surviving: W. O. Tuttle of Stratton, Colorado, Frank Tuttle of Fort Collins, Mrs. Nellie Pearsal of Torrington, Wyoming, Mrs. May Mabbott of Fresno, California, Mrs. Cora Mann of Limon, Colorado, and Thomas J. Jr. of Flagler, Colorado.
In September 1918 he married Mrs. Thompson of Denver.
He moved to Harvard, Nebraska in 1874, and then to Yuma in 1885. He held the office of county sheriff for two terms about twenty years ago."

"Mae Hannah Mabbott, 82, a resident of Santa Cruz since 1943, died yesterday at a local hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Mabbott was a native of Lincoln, Nebr., and lived in Craigmont, Ida., before moving to Fresno in 1939.
Her late husband, Ernest Mabbott, was a rancher in the Fresno area. The family home is at 210 Elm street.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lola Gomes, Tracy; two grandsons, Stan Gomas, Pleasanton, and Donald Sutherland, Santa Cruz; also three great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Christian church of Santa Cruz."
