"Ardith was born October 28, 1921 in Yuma, CO to Arlie and Mary Jacobsen, the oldest of three children. The family moved to Pomona, CA when she was two where her dad learned the plastering business from his father-in-law. This trade ultimately took them to southwest Idaho in 1932 living in various parts of the Treasure Valley. The Jacobsens attended Southside Methodist Church in Nampa where they met the Agenbroad family and the rest is history. Ernest (Ernie) proposed to Ardith (Ardie) on Valentine’s Day 1940 and they were married November 30, 1941, making their first home at 12th Avenue and Missouri Lane, home of Agenbroad & Sons Fruit Orchards. This busy farm wife became even busier as their five sons began to arrive. Even so they always found time for community activities which included Southside Methodist Church, Southside Grange, pinochle and bridge clubs. Never a dull moment!
