Mrs. J. E. McClung died at the Eldridge Hotel about 1 o'clock Wednesday morning, aged 27 years, 11 months, and 27 days. Mrs. McClung had been very sick for some time and Mr. McClung started for El Paso, Texas with her. When they reached Kansas City she was so weak it was decided to return to Yuma, reaching here Tuesday afternoon. Harriet J. Crosby was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Crosby, and was born March 9, 1890 at Waukegan, Illinois. She came to Colorado some seven years since, living at Granada in Prowers County for a time. The family moved to Yuma two years ago. She was married to J. E. McClung September September 24, 1916. The husband, parents, and three sisters are left to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at the Eldridge yesterday afternoon, Rev. G. E. Kitchen officiating and the interment was at the Yuma Cemetery.
