" Another star in the baseball firmament on this occasion will be Dr. John Marquardt, who is said to have made a great record during his college days as a slugger, and we are told by one of his old college chums that his batting average was 3323 during the season when he made his farewell appearance in baseball circles. When Dr. John is at the bat all of the fielders will occupy positions on the fence to nab anything that may be on the way over."
