" Edward D. Pike, 81. retired building contractor, died Wednesday, April 11, 1951, at the Hilton Rest Home. He had been a Phoenix resident 26 years and lived at 7221 North Canyon Drive, East.
Mr. Pike is survived by his wife, Susie; a daughter, Mrs. Lola Pike Miller, both of Phoenix; a grand daughter; and two great-grand children.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary. The Rev. Loring Emery of St. Andrew's Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park in New Orleans."

John's first marriage was to Georgia M. Fishbaugh Victor. Georgia's stepfather Earl Zanis Victor and mother, Cynthia Ann (Millies)Fishbaugh Victor, were against the marriage as she was a sophomore in the Salida High School. They escaped to Buena Vista and were joined together January 17, 1914, by James S. MacInnes, Clergyman. They only stayed in Salida a short time where John was employed by the Rio Grande shops. They left for New Mexico in hopes of finding a better life. They were distracted from their destination when they met a friend in La Junta. John got a job with the Santa Fe shop. On the afternoon of May 31, 1914, Georgia went to the park and sat on a bench there for some time. When her husband came home she told him and he cautioned her against walking about the city unescorted, since they were strangers. She took the caution as rebuke and ran into an adjoining room. She left a note: "My Own Dear John:—I can't stand your suspicions when I am innocent of them, I have never by word, action or deed, been untrue. Your own loving wife, Georgia." She then picked up the revolver and shot herself in the head, dying instantly. John married Stella Grove December 19,1916. He died at the home of J. V. Grove, in Yuma, Colorado, after suffering from an illness lasting two weeks.

Mrs. Hamilton, the daughter of Clarence L. and Iva Grove Ayers, was born in Yuma, Colo., on Feb. 12, 1921. She was married to Claude A. Hamilton at Boise, Ida., in 1941, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Hamilton came to Central Point seven years ago.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Clayton, Alexander Lee, and Dennis Raymond; her mother, Mrs. Iva Ayers, all of Central Point; and an uncle, Dallas Grove, Medford."

July 1950 Wray "A double funeral service, conducted by Rev. K. Orlando Lee, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Lockwood Mortuary in Wray for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Darbin of Weldona. Both were buried at Grandview cemetery. The couple, recently married, died as a result of a collision between a pickup, in which they were riding, and an automobile at an intersection west of Fort Morgan Thursday morning of last week. Mrs. Ethel Darbin, 58, died instantly when the impact from the collision threw her to the pavement. Her husband, Charles Darbin, 56, was hurled into the barrow pit and died Friday in the Fort Morgan hospital. Riding with the couple at the time of the accident were Mrs. Darbin’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hungerford. Both were injured, but not critically. A Fort Morgan youth, Robert Raymond Hurdt, driver for a grocery store, was driving the automobile involved in the collision. He received a broken leg and was hospitalized at Brush. The pickup is said to have stopped coming off a side road, and then to have pulled onto the highway in front of the approching automobile. The automobile struck the pickup broadside. Mr. Darbin formerly lived at Laird, and his first wife, who died in February, 1949, was the former Nettie Prentice of Laird. He is survived by five sons and one daughter: Floyd of Weldona, Burton of Wiggins, Charles, Jr., of Caldwell, Idaho, John W. of Denver, Harold E. of Derby and Mrs. Belle Bristol of Keenesburg. Mrs. Darbin was born at Norfolk, Neb., and is survived by two sons and four daughters. The couple were married in November of 1949."
