July 1916 Mount Hope, Kansas " Isaac McBride Chase was born in Fowler, Adams county, I11., September 18, 1848. He was married in the fall of 1873 to Miss Metta Bothwell, and they came to Kansas in 1880, locating in Allen county. About ton years ago he came to Mt. Hope, where he lived until his death. Mr. Chase went up to Mound Kidge with his son, where he died of heart failure on July 20th, 1916. He was the oldest child of a family of ten children. Unto Mr. and Mrs. Chase three children were born, two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Frazec, who died five years ago; Mrs. Margaret Graves, of Portland, Oregen, and one son, F. E. Chase, of this city. He also leaves a number of grand children. Mr. Chase was an active man for one of his age, always finding something to do. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, of Mt. Hope. Funeral services were held from the Christian church, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, by Rev. Hay, and interment made in Mt. Hope cemetery. .



Margaret W. Graves, born at Iona, Kansas on May 12, 1889, married Fred W. Graves born in Gravesville, wisconsin. They had Fred Jr., born in Prtland Oregon December 16, 1907.
She applied for a passport in 1920 to take a cruise from Key West, Florida.
Fred Sr. was living in San Francisco.

Fred is divorced in Clackamas County, Oregon in 1930, managing an apartment house.

Mr. Graves, who was graduated from Princeton University several years ago, has a wide circle of friends in Memphis, having spent a great deal of his time here. "
