December 1912 Yuma "Sanford Allen, who has been here for several weeks looking after his land south of town, left last Friday for his home in Republican City, Nebraska. He will return in the spring to make his home here."

April 1913 "Sanford Allen and family arrived here last week from Republican City, Nebr., and are now at home on their farm south of town."

" Eli Frank Allen, son of John M. and Ellen Tripp Allen was born May 27, 1882, in Phillips County, Kansas. He died after an illness of seven months on March 8, 1962, at Longmont, Colorado, at the age of 79 years 9 months and 11 days. He was married on March 22, 1905, at Republican City, Nebraska, to Blanche Woolman. They farmed for many years in the Sod Community. They moved to Colorado in July 1948. He was preceded in death by his wife, and infant daughter, and by three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by one son, Morris Allen, of Niwot, Colorado, two brothers, Sanford L. Allen, of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Henry Allen, Republican City, Nebraska, by two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jerry Mclnnis on March 11, 1962, at the Pleasant Ridge Church. Albert Shaw and Leslie Abbott were the singers. Casket bearers were Russell E1rod, Clifford Massey, Andy Wells, Jerry MacFarlane, Milton Allen, and Ronald Allen. Burial was at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Phillips County, Kansas. Services were under the direction of Zulauf-Banta Funeral service."
