February 17, 1900 "Mrs. Elizabeth Vanausdall, wife of W. P. Vanausdall, died Thursday morning at her home west of Wray after a long illness during which she suffered very greatly. A complication of diseases baffled the skill of physicians and friends. She was sixty years of age, a native of Ohio, and leaves a loving husband to mourn her loss. Her children, a son and daughter, have gone before and wait her coming. She will be buried today in the Wray cemetery,
She was a Christian woman and welcomed the change that would relieve her from her suffering and unite her with her Master and loved ones. She selected the song for her funeral services which says: "1 would not live always; 1 ask not to stay Where storm after storm rises dark o'er the way; The few lurid mornings that dawn on us here Are enough for life’s woes; full enough for its cheer.

"

There are four burial plots between Mrs. Vanausdall # 6 and the #1 plot, so her son John David Vanausdall could very well be buried there.
November 1900 " John Alexander, and family, brother-in-law of Robert Tippin, arrived from Iowa Thursday with a car of goods and will make their home here. He will occupy the Vanausdall farm west of town for the present. We give them a hearty welcome."

July 1908 "W. P. Van Ausdall in a letter to Dr. E. J. Bales, tells about a cyclone which struck Athol, Kansas where he lives and did a lot of damage.
