Homer D. and Eula Sigler, Alvin



November 16, 1906 Lockwood, Missouri "Mr. Homer D. Sigler and Miss Eula Gilbreath of Golden City were married last week, Wednesday. They will reside in St. Louis. "

In 1910 Golden City, Homer D. Sigler is a painter, 26, Eula E. Sigler 23 Wife.

November 1915 "The Alvin country will hereafter miss the hand of Geo. L. Dick, who has disposed of his mercantile business and real estate at that place and purchased the Empress Opera house at Boulder, which he will run personally, and those who know his tact for that class of business are sure he will make good. The successors to Mr. Dick are Pat Dempsey, who has lived in the Alvin country for the past seven or eight years, and Mr. Sigler from just over on crutches two years ago but has discarded them and says that the Yuma county climate has worked wonders for his health in general. The genial old vet did not forget to deposit a couple of fine watermelons with the Laird editor before he left, and states that he had sold about $5O worth of melons and enough of other produce from one acre of that cheap sandy land to rake in $110 in cash and has an abundance stowed away for future use. January 1916 "John Jack, who has carried the Alvin mail for several years, has sublet the contract to Pat Dempsey, one of the proprietors of the Alvin store, and Ula Sigler, wife of the other partner, has been appointed post mistress at that office. John has nearly a hundred head of cattle to look after and found it inconvenient to attend to the route."

Homer D. Sigler proved up 320 acres in sections 23 and 26, 4N 43W in 1919, and another 80 acres for Stock in 1919.

In 1920 Valley Precinct, Yuma County, Homer D. Sigler is farming, 36, Eula E. Sigler 33 Wife, and Nellie E. Sigler 5 Daughter.

"In Longmont, Colo., Sunday, April 17, 1927, to Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Sigler, a son."

In 1930 Longmont, Homer D. Sigler is 46, Eula E. Sigler 44 Wife, Nellie E. Sigler 15 Daughter, Glorine M. Sigler 10 Daughter, and Homer L. Sigler 2 Son.

March 30, 1939 Wray "Word was received here the latter part of the week that Homer Sigler of Denver passed away after a prolonged illness. Mr. Sigler and family were former residents of this vicinity. "
"Word was received of the death on March 17, of Homer Sigler at Denver. He was buried at Longmont March 20. The Siglers had made their home at Longmont for several years."

"The Rev. Ben Christner will be the officiating minister and burial will be made in Mountain View cemetery. Mr. Sigler was born at Eureka Springs, Arkansas, June 16, 1883. He had resided in Longmont 16 years. He engaged in interior decorating and painting work while here.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Eula E. Sigler; one son, Homer Lee; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Jones and Mrs. Frank Donley, all of Longmont; two brothers, Elmer and Vernon Sigler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and one sister, Mrs. Clara Baker, Golden City, Missouri."

December 1940 "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wencel and Mrs. Eula Sigler and son, Lee, will leave Saturday afternoon for Southgate, California, where they will spend the Christmas holidays with relatives. Mrs. Sigler will visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donley. Mrs. Donley is her daughter. "

March 1941 "Mrs. Charles Jones and mother, Mrs. Eula Sigler of Estes Park, drove to Boulder this afternoon on pleasure. "

She died 3 Feb 1981 in Hemet, Riverside Co, California. She was buried at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in San Jacinto, Riverside Co, CA on 9 Feb 1981. She is interred there under the name Eula Elsie McKInney, her married name at the time of her death, F-a-G memorial ID # 179795984."

GLORINE

February 1939 Longmont "Miss Glorine Sigler became the bride of Frank D. Donley in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Sigler at 520 Collyer street Sunday. Rev. Ben Christner, pastor of the Methodist church, read the ceremony at 1 o’clock. Pink and white carnations, sweet peas and lilies and palms formed the altar where the marriage vows were taken. Miss Sigler wore a navy blue suit with teal accessories and a corsage of pink roses and white sweet peas. Mrs. Verdon Chandler, Denver, was matron of honor. Her costume was British tan with matching accessories and a corsage of roses and sweet peas. Charles R. Jones was best man.
Wedding guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foreman and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Davis of Erie, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wehrli and son, Bob, of Estes Park, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Eggleston, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foreman, Harvey Kirkland, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones and Miss Glenns Kemp.
The bride is a graduate of Longmont high school and has been employed for the past two years in the office of Lyman P. Weld. The bridegroom also graduated from Longmont high school, and is employed at the Shamrock mine. He is the son of Mrs. Harry Foreman of Longmont. After a short wedding trip to Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Donley will make their home at 520 Collyer street."
