September 1886 Wray "Doug. Ray brought in some corn this week
that is hard to down. It is big, plump, and extraordinary.
Doug brought in a couple of turnips that were larger than those
brought in by Mr. Leche last week."

his friend, Douglass Ray."
(William W. Grigsby was in Nodaway County in 1880,
age 18, adopted son of John and Clarrissa Grigsby. He was living with them in 1900, born November 1861 in Missouri, widowed)
April 1, 1899 Wray "T. C. Jennings and daughter Mary were in Akron Wednesday.
T. C. was witness in the Douglas Ray final proof case and Mary was taking care of her papa."
