January 16, 1941 Greencastle, Indiana "Mrs. Violet Mullinix, wife of William L. Mullinix, died very suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon at her home in Washington township, Putnam county, just east of the Clay county line, aged 30 years.
Mrs. Mullinix was born in Clay county but had resided in Putnam county for the past 10 years.
She is survived by the husband, Wm. L. Mullinix, and one daughter, Irma Lea; also the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phipps of Brazil, a sister and two half brothers. Mrs. Bert Carpenter, Brazil; Lanny Phipps, of Arkansas, and Lester Sink, of Colorado."

She was the widow of Jack Thompson. Survivors: sisters Kathryn White, Patsy Simpson, Lou Charlotte McPherson; brother Forrest Upton. "
