Charles Peavler 9 Son, W. Amos Peavler 7 Son, E. Rosa Peavler 4 Daughter, F. Allice Peavler 3 Daughter, and J. Andrew Peavler 6/12 Son.


Andrew J. Pevler proved up a quarter in 10, 1S 45W in 1908.

March 1909 "Andrew Pevler has sold his farm and after his public sale next Monday will leave for an extended visit in Kansas, Illinois and Indiana. He will spend the summer, at least, on this trip, and will see what other places has to offer as compared with eastern Colorado."

December 1911 "Andy Pevler and his niece, Miss Mazie Runion, of north of Eckley were in Wray over last Thursday night."

In 1914 Andrew J. Pevler of Eckley was a witness for the claim of Mazie B. Runyon for land in 26, 3N 46W.

April 1915 "J. B. Hillyer and wife entertained a few friends Saturday night but owing to sickness and bad weather the crowd was not very large. Those present were Mrs. Hamilton and children, Mrs. Edd Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Murphy, Misses Dertha and Grace Hess, Miss Mazie Runyon, Roy Chase, Leo Chase, Cliff McCafferty, Audley Stallings, John Chase, Myron Probasco, and Andrew Peevler. The evening was spent in dancing and games."

Mazie had been in Bloomington, Illinois in 1900, at the Girls Industrial Home, born August 1888 in Illinois.

Mazie B. Runyon was the daughter of Thomas J. Runyon 1858 and Malissa Ann Peavler born 1865.

Andrew Jackson Peavler registered for WWI in Eckley, born December 4, 1873. His reference was Mazie Runyon of Eckley.

March 1925 Wray "Andrew Pevler, old timer north of Eckley, was doing business and greeting friends in Wray Tuesday. Andy does not get down this way very often, but has many friends to visit with here when he does come."


In 1930 Eckley precinct, Andrew Peavler 49 is farming, born in Illinois, Sylvia Peavler 40 Wife, Elmer Barrett 16 Son, and Rolla Barrett 13 Son.

Sylvia had been in Eckley precinct in 1920, with father Abraham L. Rarabaugh 58. Roy Rarabaugh is 23 Son, Sylvia Barrett 31 Daughter, Gleene Barrett 11 Granddaughter, Elmer Barrett 6 Grandson, Raleigh Barrett 2 Grandson, and Rebecca Rarabaugh 92 Mother.

March 1928 "Mrs. C. V. Hall went up to Wray, Saturday, to visit with her sister, Mrs. Seth Barrett, who recently returned from a Denver hospitai, where she underwent a major operation. She is recovering, but her progress is very slow. Mrs. Hall returned Tuesday.

November 1926 "My wife, Sylvia Selby, having left my bed and board. I will not be responsible for any debts she may contract, nor for any other contracts she may enter into. This notice to lie in force and effect from this date. Dated nt Wray, Colorado, this 10th day of November, A. D. 1926. WILLIAM S. SELBY"

June 1928 "Miss Gelena Barrett of Wray and Mr. Cecil Workman of Yuma were married in Wray early Sunday morning by Rev. A. M. Carpenter. They were attended by Miss Isabel Pickett of Wray and William Castor. They plan to make their home in Yuma.
Mrs. Workman was a member of this spring's graduating class of the local high school and is popular with a large circle of the younger people of Wray. She is a daughter of Mrs. Sylvia Selby. The many friends of the happy couple are extending them congratulations."

October 1970 Yuma "Mrs. Cecil Workman visited from Friday until Monday with her mother, Mrs. Sylvia Olsen, in Minitare, Nebraska."

Surviving are her husband, Cecil, daughter Joan Gingles and family, Yuma, daughter, Derry White and husband, Don, and family, Augora; daughter Audrey Woods and husband, Jim and familly of Springfield, Oregon; mother Sylvia Olson of Minatare, Nebraska; brother, Elmer Barrett and family, Scottsbuluff, Nebraska."
September 6, 1928 "Andy Peavler, well known farmer residing north of Eckley, and Mrs. Sylvia Barrett of Wray, surprised their friends on Monday of last week when, they were quietly married at Akron. Mr. and Mrs. Peavler will reside on the groom’s farm north of Eckley. Both the bride and groom are well known in this locality. Mr. Peavler is one of the old settlers of Yuma county, having lived during the pioneer days on a ranch some 15 miles southwest of Wray near the old C-12 ranch. The Rattler extends Mr. and Mrs. Peavler congratulations and good wishes.."

"Mrs. Mabel Violet Peavler, 64, died unexpectedly at her home Monday. She was born Aug. 5, 1898, near Eckley, Colo. She was married to Andrew J. Peavler on Oct. 12, 1935, Eads, Colo. Coming to Emmett in 1936, she has since resided here.
Surviving besides her husband is one brother, Charles Van Horn of Eckley, Colo. Services are pending at the Beatty Chapel in Emmett."
