June 8, 1987 Napa, California "Howard Hutton, 83, died Wednesday at a
convalescent hopsital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hutton was born
in Vernon, Colo., to Nelson and Alice Preveler Hutton. He was a graduate
of Nampa, Idaho, High School. He worked for Union Pacific Telegraph Co., a pharmaceuticals company and Pasadena Ice Co. before ranching near Aztec, N.M. He had lived in Napa since October 1986. In recent months his needs have been seen to by his sister, Verne Worrall. Mr. Hutton had been married to Wilma Smith, who predeceased him. He is survived by three sons: Ray, of Springfield, Mo., and John and William H., of San Diego; a daughter, Aloha Lassley, of Yorba Linda; two sisters: Verne Worrall, of Napa and Alta G. Zehm, of Allendale, N.J.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At Mr. Huttons request, no services were held. Private cremation arrangements were directed by Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel. "

After a few days visit with friends in Denver, Mr. Hutton will return and Miss Edna and Chase will go to Latimer, Kansas, to visit with relatives. They expect to be absent about three months."

October 1925 "H. H. Hutton, former well known resident of the San Juan district,
and for many years merchant and store keeper at Ophir Loop, returned to Telluride Friday night.
He came here from his present home in Baldwin Park, Calif., about 17 miles south of Los Angeles.
Mr. Hutton came back to the district for a short visit with former friends and to look after some
business matters. He left Saturday morning for a day’s visit at Ophir Loop. After leaving Ophir
Loop nearly three years ago. Mr. Hutton, with his wife, went to California,
where they have since been located."
