"Harold W. New, 93, Olathe, died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at Royal Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Olathe. He was born May 26, 1903 in Valley Falls, and had lived in Boulder, Colo., until 1993. He was a bus driver for the Boulder City Bus Company and had owned and operated for more than 26 years the Pink Rose Nursing Home, Boulder. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Boulder.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola M. New, in June 1996, two brothers, Myron New and Glenn New and two sisters, Elsie Probasco and Ila Hendrie.
Survivors include a son, Dallas New, Olathe, two daughters, LaVonne Swanson, Sacramento, Calif., Mary Vail, Dublin, Ireland: two sisters, Olive Whittenburg and Eunice Crabtree, both of ?IXmer, 10 grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday at the Boulder Lowe Mortuary Boulder. The funeial will be 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boulder."

Survivors include Marvin and wife, Thelma of Arvada, Glen and wife Patsy of Loveland, Myrna Helart and husband, Marvin of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Linda Hedrick and husband, Richard of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Louise Chase of Colorado Springs; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild."

April 1949 "Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Hendrie of 384 South Bannock street, Denver celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hendrie were married in this city on April 20, 1890 and farmed in this community until 12 years ago when they retired and moved to Denver. Participating in the celebration Wednesday at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Hendrie at 2 So. Lowell blvd. were six children, twenty grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. The couple are the parents of four sons Ernest of Denver, Carl of Wilmington, California, Ford of Lamar, Ralph of Rocky Ford and two daughters, Mrs. Jennie New of Denver and Mrs. Louise Chase of Colorado Springs. Mrs. Hendrie is a sister of John, Jim and Fred Hitchcock of this city."

March 1941 Wray "Wallace Whittenberg had a call to duty in the Army, but was deferred from duty on account of the job he holds in Denver."

November 1944 "Mrs. Lavonne Millikin and baby of Denver are at present staying with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Whittenberg indefinitely owing to their inability to find suitable living quarters in Denver.

Mrs. Thos. Whittenburg departed Tuesday night for Clay Center, Kansas for an indefinite visit with several brothers and sisters in that neighborhood."
