October 16, 1913 "The youngest of the three little daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Hesse was taken quite seriously ill Tuesday morning of last week, and though all care and medical aid was given her, she passed away just twenty-four hours afterwards. Murie Theresa was born October 16, 1910, and died October 7, 1913, being just two years, eleven months, and twenty-one days old. The funeral was arranged for Thursday, but was postponed until the following day. The services were held in the Presbyterian church at ten o'clock and interment was made in Grand View cemetery. The sympathy of the people of the town and surrowiding community is with the parents in their loss. Below we publish a statement at the request of the parents.

Owing to the articles in the Denver Post relative to the death and burial of our daughter, Marie, we wish to correct any erroneous ideas that may have been gathered from these articles. Our daughter was taken violently ill on Tnerday morning. Dr. Crawford was first called and waited on tho child until he was compelled to leave on a morning- train for Denver, on professional business. Dr. Kitzmiller was then called and took charge of the case. Every thing that science could do was done for the child but death came at 7 p. m. Twenty-four hours later a slight color in the ears and cheeks was noticed. During Dr. Kitztniller's absence in the country, Dr. McGill was called on account of the child sappearance. He also pronounced the child dead, but, on account of the unusual appearance, advised the postponement of the funeral.
