"Nell Bollong. aged 91 years, the father of J. G. Bollong, the South Bellingham merchant. died at the family residence on Fillmore avenue this morning at 9 o'clock geniiIty being the cause of death. Mr. Bollong was a native of Nova Scotia an an old resident of this city. His wife survives him. The body lies at the private receiving room of Mock & Sons, 1033 Elk street. The funeral announcement will appear later."

June 8, 1890 Wray " Miss Grace Dixon, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. W. T. Bollong, and expects to remain during the summer."

November 24, 1900 " Monday morning, October 30, the spirit of William Thomas Bolloug passed to the realm of the hereafter. The funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon, under the auspices of the Knights of the Maccabees. Rev. Edmunds was the officiating clergyman, and iu a few well chosen words, paid a beautiful tributo to the deceased.
William Bollong was born in Nova Sootia fifty-one years ago. He united with the Presbyterian church there when sixteen years of age. He was a Master Mason of Queens Lodge No. 10. In 1880 he went to Iowa, and was engaged in business for some years, then he came to Colorado and thence to Washington. He leaves a widow and two eons, David and Archie, in this city and two sisters, one in Nova Scotia and one in California, to mourn his loss. Wheievor Mr. Bollong went, his bright, sunny, genial disposltlon won him many friends.

W. T. Bollong is remembered by the earliest settlers of Wray as one of the most genial, energetic and hopeful of our little group of pioneers. He was employed as head salesman in Smith & Blust's store, and llko many, filed on a piece of government land.
The family consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Bollong and two sons, David and Archie, moved to the Pacific coast and at the time of Mr. Bollong's death were living at Ballard, Wash., and the visitation of such sorrow to their home is consoled by their friends at this place."

October 1931 "J. W. A. Bollong, city engineer for Seattle, Washington, stopped off in Wray Monday and visited here until Tuesday. He was an old time resident of Wray, having spent part of his boyhood here."
