January 1961 Wray, Colorado "Belated holiday exchange of family letters brought word to Gus Wiklund of the death of
the last of his ten brothers and sisters, Mrs. Alma Walstrom of Strumbook Sweden. Mr. Wiklund received
word on Saturday of her death which occurred November 5. He last saw her sixty years ago,
when he and three brothers and sisters, including the late Mrs. Olaf Oman of Wray, left for America.
He was 22 years old at the time."
Jennie (Oman) Monk, Hulda's daughter, wrote that Alma Katrina had a son out of wedlock
before she had Anna (Wiklund) Roden. She said that he came to Nebraska, to avoid military service in Sweden, about age 18,
with her father Olaf paying part of his fare. He
never came to Colorado, staying in Fremont "where he was well liked and died."
Erik Axel Wiklund arrived in New York on the Laconia from Liverpool, 17, a laborer. He said his mother was
Alma Walstrom of Bergajo, and he was going to Lyons, Nebraska, where Olaf Ohman, address Box 110, Lyons, lived.
Eric Wicklund is a hired farm hand

"Services for Mrs. Anna E. Wicklund, 85, Crowell Home, formerly of 1516 E.
First St. in Fremont, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bader Rozanek Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Laurence R.
Davis will officiate. Mrs. Wicklund died Saturday morning at Blair. She was born July 14, 1890, in Madison County and had lived in Norfolk before coming to Fremont. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont.
She married Eric A. Wicklund April 2, 1944,
at Hiawatha, Kan. He died Dec. 13, 1972.
Survivors include, daughters,
Mrs. Robert (Leila) Lincoln, Fremont;
Mrs. Chester (Darlene) Thomas, Fremont;
six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for First United Methodist Church. Visitation is in progress at Bader Rozanek Lawson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery."
