Heinz
Cordes Of Mount Vernon, passed away on July 16, 2012. He is
survived by his wife, Veda, daughters Cathy Norton - husband
Boyd; Patti Ward - husband Ernie; Vicki Myers; and Judy Mendoza
- husband Kevin, all of Mount Vernon, WA, and son Chris Cordes -
wife Marilyn of Orting, WA, 12 grandchildren, and 18
great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Frieda
Reed of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and sister-in-law Vera Taylor of
Stites, ID. He was born on September 10, 1926 in Yuma,
Coloradoand grew up in Elmira, ID. He married his
loving wife, Veda Schell, on July 8, 1950. He worked as a logger
and farmer in Elmira, ID and later moved to Mount Vernon in
1968, where he worked at Henry Dykstra's dairy farm in Bow. He
lived in Orting, WA from 1976 - 1996, where he worked for St.
Regis Paper Company as a gatekeeper with his wife. Heinz and
Veda retired to Mount Vernon in 1996. Heinz was a kind and
loving man who loved his family. He had a great sense of humor
and an infectious laugh and smile. At the time he went home to
be with Jesus he was surrounded by his family and passed
peacefully in his sleep. A private family memorial will be held
at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Where
