MINING DEED

This Deed was filed for Record on the 6th day of Jany. A.D. 1882, at 1:43 o'clock P.M. -

This Indenture, Made this Sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and eighty-one  
Between  Sam H. Burghardt Of the County of Dolores and State of Colorado, of the first part 
and   
David H. Cook  Of the County of LaSalle and State of Illinois, of the second part                     WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of                                                  Five Thousand                                             Dollars,       Lawful Money of the United States of America, to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, remised, released and quit-claimed, and by these presents does grand, bargain, sell, remise, release and forever quit-claim unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns.             An undivided One Fifth (1/5) interest in and to that certain Lode Mining Claim known and recorded as the "Shamrock"  Lode situated on the west bank of the Dolores River on Expectation Mt. opposite and west of the Town of Rico in Pioneer Mining District, Dolores County Colorado.             Also an undivided One Fourth (1/4) interest in and to that certain Lode Mining Claim known and recorded as the "Glendow" Lode situate on the north side of Expectation Mt. About 2 1/2 miles NW of the Town of Rico and about  1000 feet above Horse Creek in Pioneer Mining District Dolores County Colorado.               Also an undivided One Fourth interest in and to that certain Lode Mining Claim known and recorded as the  "Dalgaruo" Lode situate on the North West slope of Expectation about 1500 feet above Horse Creek and near the Puzzle Lode, about 2 miles NW of the Town of Rico in Pioneer Mining District Dolores County Colorado. ------  For a more full and complete description of the above Lode Mining Claims reference is hereby made to the records of Ouray County Colorado where the Location Certificate may be found of record.             Together with all the dips, spurs and angles, and also all the metals, ores, gold and silver bearing quartz, rock and earth therin; and all the rights, privileges and franchises thereto incident, appendant and appurtenant, or therewith usually had and enjoyed; and also, all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the rents, issues and profits thereof; and also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said party of the first part, of, in or to the said premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances:  TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenances and privileges thereto incident, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever.       IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Sam H. Burghardt personally known to me as the person whose name is subscribed

sealed and delivered the said instrument of writing as his free and voluntary act, 
for the uses and purposes therin set forth.
