This is Boone Bacon and Emma Norton shortly before he died in 1937. They came from Caldwell Co. Missouri about 1904 to Rocky Ford Otero Co. Colorado.
He farmed and raised cantaloupes and had bee hives and many other interests. They are buried in Rocky Ford. Their daughter, Edith Elizabeth Bacon was my gr. grandma. This Bacon line has been traced and leads back to William Bacon from England in 1597, and through his son Nathan Bacon who settled in Middlesex, CT and the Simsbury-Hartford CT. areas.
