CAPTION:
Headstone of C.C. Aldrich 1812-1906, CO. H. 1st Colorado Calvary
is located along the river rd., Highway 128(near Moab, UT), on
"White's Ranch" . Thanks to a viewer we have found this
out. Mr. Aldrich is in the 1880 Colorado US Census Index living
in El Paso County. At that time he was a resident of El Paso
County, in TWP 16 S Range 67 W, to be found on Page 461 of the
Census. Also shown at that same location was a Arnold B. Aldrich.
According to my map this location would be about ten miles west
of Fountain and within about three miles of the west boundary of
El Paso County. I hope that someone with access to death records
for that region can verify that he was buried in El Paso Co.and
also in which cemetery.
