Anna was born August 14, 1903 to Joseph and Beata (SIMONS) MILLER. Her parents: Joseph and Beata (SIMONS) MILLER were married October 5, 1902 in Eagle County. Beata died in 1910. The 1910 census was taken April 29 and Beata was missing from the family. Anna and sister Ida are living with their father. Shortly after Beata's death, Joseph took his daughters to an Aunt to
raise them, as he couldn't take care of them and make a living also. The Aunt decided she couldn't take care of the girls either, so put them in an orphanage. Joseph was eventually able to get them back and brought them home to Gilman.
