Walter A Ahnstedt
Walter A. Ahnstedt, 89, of Haxtun, died May 5, 2002, at the Haxtun Hospital of natural causes. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 7 at Tennant Funeral Home in Haxtun. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. May 8 at the Haxtun United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Bergman officiating. Burial will be at the Haxtun Cemetery.
Mr. Ahnstedt was born Oct.23, 1912, to Arthur and Hazel(Padget) Ahnstedt in Sedgwick.
He attended school for 12 years. On Dec. 22, 1935, he married Esther Hansen. He was a self employed farmer.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Haxtun Methodist Church, Haxtun Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge.
Mr. Ahnstedt is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Myers, Yuma, and Irene Rehyer, Sun Lake, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Living Center, P.O. Box 308, Haxtun,Colo. 80731, or the Haxtun United Methodist Church, P.O.
