T.F. DUDDEN, 75, SUCCUMBS FRIDAY OF HEART ATTACK

 

T.F. Dudden, better known as Pete Dudden among his friends, died unexpectedly at about 4:30 o'clock Friday afternoon near his home in Holyoke. He was 75 years old.

 

Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Dudden was known to have a heart condition but he seemed to be feeling as well as usual shortly before his death. He is said to have walked to the business district during the afternoon and had just alighted from the car of a friend who was taking him home when he suffered the attack. Death came almost immediately.

 

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Lewis Funeral Home and at 2:00 o'clock at the Holyoke Lutheran Church. Rev. R. Einspahr, pastor of the church, was in charge of the services. Mr. Dudden was a member of the Lutheran church. Burial was in Holyoke Memorial Park.

 

A son of George W. and Mattie Habben Dudden, Tieman F. Dudden was born May 4, 1877, in Oldenburg, Germany. When he was 7 years old the family came to the United States and settled on a farm near Glenville, Nebraska. A short time later the family moved to Kenesaw, Nebraska where Mr. Dudden grew to manhood.

 

On March 9, 1900, Mr. Dudden was united in marriage with Martha Naggatz at Hastings, Nebraska. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive. In 1939, Mr. and Mrs. Dudden moved to a farm near Amherst. They lived there until 1947 then came to Holyoke, where they have since resided.

 

Surviving Mr. Dudden are his wife; one son, William F. Dudden, Amherst; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Brienig, Arapahoe, Nebraska, Mrs. Margaret Hinz, Hastings, Nebraska, and Mrs. Helen Bostock, Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Barney Dudden, Venango, Nebraska, and Fred, Hero and George Dudden, all of Broadwater, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Frieda Ogden, Venango, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
