MILTON EINSPAHR DIES SUDDENLY

 

Milton Einspahr, 34, of Venango, Nebraska, died unexpectedly at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Phillips County Hospital. He reportedly entered the hospital that morning for treatment of a leg injury and succumbed soon after anesthetic was administered.

 

Military services will be held this afternoon. A short service will be conducted at the Lewis Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. and another service will be held at the Venango Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Holyoke Memorial Park.

LAST RITES FOR MILTON EINSPAHR HELD AT VENANGO

 

Funeral services for Milton A. Einspahr, 33, were conducted last Thursday afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Venango, Nebraska, with Rev. William Pebler officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park with military rites at the grave. The Lewis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Mr. Einspahr, a popular and well known farmer in the Venango community, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, May 17*, at the Phillips County Hospital. He entered the hospital that morning for treatment of a leg injury and succumbed while under anesthetic.

 

Milton Albert Einspahr, son of Richard and Freida Einspahr, was born July 31, 1921, at Kenesaw, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He moved to this area with his parents in 1933.

 

On August 27, 1942, he enlisted in the armed forces and served in the Mediterranean theatre with the 894th Tank Destroyer battalion. He was in combat in five major campaigns, Tunisia in Africa, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley in Italy. He received his honorable discharge at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas,

October 8, 1945.

 

On December 6, 1947 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Eileen Busch of Venango. They established their home east of Venango where Mr. Einspahr had engaged in farming since that time. He was an active member of the Venango American Legion Post 270, serving two years as its commander..  He was also a member of the Zeiler-Owens-Lindsay VFW Post 6482 of Holyoke and took an active part in many of this organization's

activities.

 

Surviving are his wife; one young son, Mark Allen; his parents, who reside at Julesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Perri, Denver, and Mrs. Ruth Sheey of Doniphan, Nebraska; one brother, Reinhold Einspahr, Julesburg; two nieces; two nephews; 11 aunts; eight uncles, and many other relatives and friends.
