Funeral services were held Saturday, July 30, 1977, at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke for Martha M. Dudden, 94, who passed away Wednesday, July 27, 1977.
Pastor Gary Rahe officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park.
Martha Minnie Dudden (Naggatz), was born January 28, 1883 near Barrington, Illinois, to William and Caroline (Mitchell) Naggatz.
When she was 10 years old, the family moved to Inland, Nebraska, and later to Kenesaw, Nebraska.
She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Barrington on February 23, 1883, and was confirmed at Inland, Nebraska.
She was united in marriage to Tieman Dudden in 1900, and to this union, four children were born. They made their home near Kenesaw until 1939, when they moved to the Amherst community, retiring to Holyoke in 1947. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1950. Mr. Dudden preceded her in death in 1953.
Martha made her home for the past 11 1/2 years at Sheridan Manor.
She is survived by a son, Bill Dudden, Holyoke; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Elsie) Brienig, Arapahoe, Nebraska, Mrs. Margaret Kinz, Kenesaw, Nebraska, and Mrs. Bill Naggatz, Bethany, Oklahoma, one sister, Friedia Ogden, Holyoke; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
