MRS. ANDREW BEAL IS CALLED BY DEATH
Succumbs To Pneumonia After Having Been In Ill Health For Year
Mrs. Andrew Beal died early this morning at the family home north of Holyoke. Mrs. Beal had been in ill health for the past year, but it was not until last week when she became sick with pneumonia that her condition had been critical.
Mrs. Beal was 55 years of age and was born at Holstein, Nebraska. She had been a resident of Phillips County for about 17 years.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made as word from relatives in California is being awaited.
Surviving Mrs. Beal are her husband, seven sons and four daughters, all of whom are here, the children having been summoned early this week when Mrs. Beal’s condition became serious.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. BEAL
Funeral Sermon Is Preached By Rev. Einspahr And Burial Is In Holyoke Cemetery
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church for Mrs. Andrew Beal, who passed away last Thursday morning at her home from pneumonia. A short ceremony, consisting only of a prayer, at the family home north of Holyoke preceded the services at the church. Rev. R. Einspahr officiated at both. A profusion of flowers decked the house and church. Interment was made in the Holyoke cemetery.
F.N. Austin, H.E. Reichelt, A.V. Kistler, M.A. Kistler, William Silligman and John Wright, Sr., were pallbearers.
Maria Pauline Hageman was born March 28, 1878, at Holstein, Nebraska and passed away on October 25, 1934, at Holyoke, Colorado, at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 27 days.
She was baptized on May 5, 1878, in the Lutheran church by Rev. C. Meyer and was confirmed on April 10, 1892, at Kenesaw, Nebraska, by Rev. W. Wambsganss.
She was married to Andrew Beal on the 27th of November, 1901, at Holstein, Nebraska. To them were born eight sons and four daughters, eleven of whom are living, a twin son having died in infancy. The surviving children are Arthur of Ovid, Elmer, Mrs. Esther Finke, Albert, LaVern, Oscar and Lester all of Holyoke, Mrs. Evelyn Rutt of Brighton, Kermit of Graybull, Wyoming and Helen and Viola of Holyoke. Mrs. Beal is survived by her husband also, as well as three sisters and five brothers and six grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Beal, together with her family, moved to the farm north of Holyoke in the spring of 1917.
Since she has left our ranks on earth, her absence is mourned not only by her aforementioned husband and children, sisters and brothers, but also by a host of friends who know how to appreciate solid Christian virtues.

Many relatives came from a distance to attend the funeral of Mrs. Andrew Beal on Sunday.
Her sister, Mrs. John Fischer, together with Mr. Fischer and their daughter Eileen, of Juniata, Nebraska, returned home Wednesday morning after having visited since Saturday with the Beal family and with Mr. Fischer’s brothers, Henry and George Hageman of Amherst and Venango, respectively. Another daughter, Mrs. Verlin Short,
returned Tuesday to her home at Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Beal and daughter, Pearl, and Clarence Fisher and his brother-in-law, Herbert Berg, returned to their homes at Kenesaw, Nebraska, on Monday. Emil and Andrew Beal are brothers and Mr. Fischer is a nephew of the late Mrs. Beal.
