FUNERAL SERVICES THURSDAY FOR MRS. BERNARD FRANSON

 

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sandquist Died Monday Morning

 

Mrs. Bernard Franson, age 32, a resident of the Fairfield community, passed away at Holyoke early Monday morning. Mrs. Franson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sandquist, died at the home of her parents following a long illness. She was a beloved and highly respected resident of her community.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Fairfield church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. H. Leo Taylor of Holyoke will conduct the services, and interment will be in the Holyoke cemetery. Arrangements were by the Radford Funeral Home of Haxtun.

 

The following obituary was read at the services:

 

Mable Linnea Sandquist Franson (nee Linnea Sandquist) was born September 7, 1907, at Sumner, Nebraska and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sandquist, to Holyoke, Colorado in 1909, where she grew to womanhood.

 

She attended the public schools and was baptized and confirmed at the Swedish Mission Church in the Fairfield community. On April 12, 1936 she was united in marriage to Mr. Bernard Franson and to this union one daughter was born.

 

Mrs. Franson passed away at the home of her parents at Holyoke after a long illness August 19, 1940, at the age of 32 years 11 months and 12 days.

 

Mrs. Franson leaves to mourn her passing her devoted husband and little daughter Astrid, and her parents and many other relatives and friends.

 

She was a kind and loving mother and loved by all who knew her.

 

Quietly she lived and quietly she passed away.
