LESTER ADAMSON DIES SUDDENLY

 

Lester L. Adamson, a retired Haxtun farmer, passed away early this morning (3:20) at the Haxtun hospital where he had been a patient for the past 10 days. It was not generally known that his illness was of a serious nature and his death was a shock to the community.

 

Mr. Adamson had lived most of the past 28 years in the Haxtun area. He was born at Wood River, Nebraska and was the son of William and Olive Adamson. He was married August 3, 1923, at Denver, to Jennie Damrow. They lived in Haxtun until 1931 when they moved to Iliff and from there went to Denver for four years, returning here in 1949.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, from the Berean Fundamental church in charge of Rev. Earnest Skoog. Friends who wish may contribute to a memorial fund at the Haxtun Community Bank.

 

Mr. Adamson is survived by his wife, and five daughters, Mrs. Leona Befort, Mrs. Alice Weibl and Mrs. Deanna Ridlen of Aurora, Mrs. Sharon Hart of Longmont and Mrs. Joan Weers of Haxtun. Also 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Ooley of Forest Grove, Oregon, Mrs. Eppie Lotz of Denver, and six brothers, William of Roseburg, Oregon, Alvin of Stockton, California, Chester of Haxtun, Vernon and Virgil of Portland, and Lawrence of Hood River, Oregon.
